I was looking for an external SATA HDD docking station and this appears to be well reviewed and if you use the FREEDEL11 option it is delivered for free next day!
I had some problems applying the code online but I spoke to one of their sales teams via online chat and they applied the code for me.
£8.98 delivered!

heat added, good price!

Good price for a USB2.0 dock. Still i would prefer a dock with eSata for bit more speed.

Or you can get a USB 3 version for 4 quid more.......

Excellent just ordered one... don't forget 3% quidco

great may order one?

Original Poster

**** - forgot quidco!

Just need a drive now.....

Prefer to have e-sata myself as well.

Also my maxvalue off amazon had an sd card reader on the front

am I right in thinking you can use one of these to transfer files and swap out hdd in laptops for ssd?

Also is the usb 3 worth it?

If you have a USB 3.0 port in your laptop it is worth getting. If the port is 2.0 there is no point in getting a high speed dock.

Unless you want to future proof

You literally slot a HD in the top?

That's ace.

I have one of these (not the same brand) and paid £28 for it a year or 2 ago. Fantastic for heling get everything into one place. Was well worth the money I paid for it, an absolute gift at this price. As for the USB2/3 argument. Its not something I found myself using everyday so futureproofing might not be worth it. That isnt to say you cant use it all the time as a desktop HD Caddy, it just didnt workout that way for me

This is showing £6.98 so even cheaper. Free delivery code is working fine.

Thanks OP

Ordered, USB 3.

Got one for £6.98, will come in handy, thanks .

ordered £6.98 delivered

anyone know of a sata and ide combo one anywhere near this price? need to get data off a few ide drives that are in old desktop - no longer have any ide functional pc's.

I'm just disappointed they won't let you order two.

Heat added.

Thanks OP ordered. I have one of the cheap ebay USB to sata cables but the PSU went bang when I was backing up a HDD (lucky the HDD wasn't damaged) If you have or are about to get the cheap cable from ebay PLEASE get this instead, the plug didn't even have a fuse and the seller couldn't give a dam.

I find it funny that the usb3 one states it's up to 5gb/s but only supports sata I/II lol

Cheers OP, saw this awhile ago on their site when they had it for around £12 and thought it pricey for what it was.

£6.77 after cashback is perfect, it'll definately come in handy!

Mine doesn't show in "Outstanding orders" but it shows in "Order history".

ordered just an enclosure which is 2.99 with delivery code and working.

Woops I forgot to ask what is the max size of HDD this can take ?

ordered two enclosures separately

Great find

ordered thankyou op

After having a look around I think the biggest drive it supports is 2TB.

i have ordered 2 of the docks usb 2 and usb 3 separate orders and 2 of the usb 2 enclosures separate orderers

as it only lets you add one enclosure

1 out of 4 items been despatched

Brilliant find - thanks op - ordered (delivery code working fine).

apart from the ease of swapping drives, the enclosure for 2.99 basically does the same thing, right?

Wow, amazing service! This is my first ever order with them and I received the dispatch email 12 minutes after the order confirmation email. I've just been back to order one of the HDD enclosures too as that'll come in handy too!

Admittedly they aren't the cheapest on a lot of things, but that service is excellent. Lets just hope the courier drivers service is as good tomorrow (_;)

I got one of the "all in one" docking stations from ebay hong kong reseller.

It has both ide 2.5 and 3.5, and SATA 2.5 and 3.5, it also has software and a 1 button drive cloning feature. The front also has a 27 in 1 card reader and 2 powered usb ports and the rear has both usb and ESATA -

price £11.50 delivered.
