Nice price, heat given.
Decent price. Hot!
Nice find!
Can you play battleships on this?
Just a warning. If you have a mac, the ableton version that is bundled won't work with the latest versions of OSX because of the new code signature or whatever is called.

A bit insure, but sure, you can play
if you have all the right parts…
Thaaaaaaaankyou!!!!
Any other advice as I am trying to build a 'starter kit'for my husband who has been out the game for 15 years.

Have laptop only atm.

Have had some great advice on here previous but still feel overwhelmed. Going to be using FL , this launch pad and need reasonably priced noise cancelling headphones, keyboard and not sure what else
What is it?
Micro USB port breaks easily according to reviews. Why is everything not USB-C nowadays?

This is an old model released about 3 years ago when Type C was far less common.

I'm not sure if this controller might be good for your husband. If he uses FL, he's probably into making music and this controller is more for live performances.

A midi keyboard with controls might be better. There are tons out there of different quality, price and size. Depending what he likes most, maybe a controller like the Novation Launchkey 25 MKII, might be a better thing, as it's both a keyboard and controller.
If he has a good experience with keyboards (which I don't) I think a Roli Seaboard could be a fantastic gift.

Ah ok. USB-C really needs to wipe out the older types and fast.

I'd go for a Native Instruments maschine mikro mk3 or if you want something for around £100 get a second hand mikro mk2 but make sure they transfer the software over to you or you will be left with an expensive door stop.
