These 15W LED ceiling lights can help you save money with their 50,000 hour lifespan (nearly six years), as they use up to 85% less power than normal 100W incandescent bulbs.

I don't know why you wouldn't have these, to be honest.

The LED lights need to be hardwired in, but they come with a IP44 waterproof plastic shade meaning they're very safe for use in bathrooms or kitchens. You can choose from Daylight light (5000K) or Warm White (3000K).

Specifications
  • Wattage: 15W
  • Incandescent Equivalent: 100W
  • Colour Temperature: 3000K
  • Luminous Flux: 1200lm
  • Colour Rendering Index (CRI): 80
  • Waterproof: IP44
  • Installation Height: over 2.25m will be better
  • Wide Beam angle: 120 degrees
  • Input Voltage: 220V-240V AC
  • Lifespan: 50,000 hours

It's bigger than the bed if you go off the image on the box
Is this hard wired or can it be battery operated??
I put one of these in a few weeks ago and it is very good picked the daylight white and it is a bit ...... shocking when you forget its in and get blinded by the white light

Great light and good savings to be made there, for those who don't need this remember to check asda 2x bayonet bulbs 14w with 1500lumims for £6 so you can save with other lights too
Ip44 not really ideal for bathroom. Steam finds its way in and starts corroding micro components. They won't last as long as they would in other areas.
And once water gets in it won't be very safe either as water and electricity don't really like each other.
That's my personal experience anyway.
Not sure I see the logic in replacing an existing light fitting with a sealed unit with a finite lifespan. Just fit LED bulbs.

50,000 hours is a long time, when you consider that if you only had the light on for 8 hours a day, then it would last about 17 years.
Anyone know if these are dimmable?
My only worry is that the lifespan is not guaranteed. If the LEDs go off in 1 - 2 years time you will have to replace whole unit, thats not very economical & eco friendly.
Purchased , Thanks
