Google Samsung 8k TV, read the Forbes article and eat thy words

The forbes article changes nothing, you still only have the resolution of the original image, adding more pixels doesn't add more detail, the screen may be great and the image may look fantastic but that has nothing to do with what I'm saying, your still not seeing a native 8K image.

Most movies are still mastered in 2K then upscaled to 4K for the 4K BluRay release, which means your still only seeing the resolution of a 2K image.

In any case you cant see native 8K detail on a 60" screen at normal viewing distances, the same is true for 4K, micro details are just to small, it's like watching a 1080p movie on mobile phone.

Yeah but if you can see it during normal viewing you should ask for an exchange, but your right, it certainly put me off the C8.

For anyone who doesn't know what the vertical banding problem is, my advice is stay ignorant.

Exactly, so none of the extra detail you get with a native image.

I've been looking for either a c6 or replacement uh850v for the one my daughter 'modified'.

I wish I went for the c6 to begin with because it would have been better insurance wise as they'd replace with a c8.

I saw Amazon found a load of stock of the uh750v model, I keep looking every week to see if they magically find some of the higher models with 3d.

Failing that I'll just have to go with a 4k projector and crappy active 3d glasses.

So strange how long technology takes to release, I have pictures from CES 2015 of 8K TV’s, probably too expensive at the time to manufacturer on a large scale
Don't forget 6% TCB . Think the student 10% off is via student beans.

55. Paid £670 for mine 18 month ago, not wanting to pay more than £400 now, otherwise I might as well go for a c8.
