EDIT has dropped in price
and says shipping in 3 days (usually means they dispatch in that time may take a while longer to get to you)

Great spec, decent reviews, great price, some mixed reviews on the retailer !
only other down side is doesnt seem to support 4g on o2 and vodafone but will stil have some appeal if you dont use these.

they ship to the uk and we are all here, so whats the issue

it's actually a few quid cheaper at GearBest atm, and cheaper still at EverBuying, but i've never used them so unwilling to recommend

£118 at GearBest though seems like a steal

Yes, and please go to ebay China or whatever site they use, copy all the listings over here because they all costs lower than UK prices here. See the problem here?

if true, no
those things are quite often store specific, most good shops will send you a handset fully set up & ready to go for the country you're from, so that was prob just early sample or something that they reviewed
buying from somewhere like gearbest i'd be very surprised if it didn't have Play etc all done for you when you got it tbh

edit: and even if it doesn't, it's a piece of cake to sort for yourself just btw

that is good price- i didnt check that site - havent used before either, just saw the mailout on the focalprice one and thought a good saving

just buy a Voda Smart Ultra. what's the point of a phone if it does not have all 4G bands, where warranty and updates may be an issue, where you may have to load Google play, where it may not have NFC......

Just cut out the beer and cigs, or just don't buy that 20th pair of shoes..... and buy something that will be far less hassle to setup. maintain and will have some valur when you sell it?

Items from sellers outside the UK did not used to be permitted but HUKD seems to have slackened off recently on this and a number of other quality issues. I don't understand why anyone with experience of Mediatek powered devices would ever want to experience it more than once. Yes all smartphones are made in China but the quality control will be entirely different when you compare these types of brands against the more established.

that's exactly the kind of thinking that got the whole fecking world buying iPhones you know...

This is a free market, you can buy from anywhere. But how about warranty? What happens if the phone is dead on arrival? If something goes wrong? How about customs import duties when you buy from outside the EU? All these are risks you have to factor in when buying from overseas.

Wonder how good this phone is? Specs are great and I've seen a benchmark where it was only beaten by the S6, but several forums slate the Helio X10

The CPU in this phone is a powerhouse so i think you should do your home work, a lot of phones will be using it like the phones we buy here like HTC, Samsung.

I have ordered Elephone P8000 but not sure now.

Comparing this with P8000 - which one will be best to order?

you are right, a lot of people got defective phones or develop a problem after a month or two and then got all the hassle to deal with that...personally,I think this looks like a good deal but I wouldn't buy smth more expensive this way..

Depends what network you want
I considered the same but need o2 and Vodafone so went for p8000 originally.
Had to return as faulty though so went for moto x play dual.
I wanted this as benchmarks scores v good but didn't support my network

Just don't buy it! Too many chinese bloatware built in. Almost impossible to flash other roms or even root. This phone is also very fragile and has poor WiFi connection. It's currently £80 in China.

How does it compare with this one?

It's around 1000RMB in China. It's a quality-built phone by one of the best TV media company in China. Bloatware can be uninstalled easily and google play service can be installed to get gmail, play book etc working. 4g only works in EE and Three

Crazy price for such spec.

I love these Chinese phones but I always just buy from Amazon as they seem to stock most of these cool Chinese phones albeit a slightly dearer price, but it's worth it paying an extra tenner to get the peace of mind should anything go wrong.

you should really research or better yet try this years mediatek processors before saying such things, take it from a guy who has used 2 medium end mediateks this year, and one highend from last years batch, the mtk6752 and mtk6753 are better in every single way over what was the highend mtk6792, the helios X10 should give you snapdragon 80x performance

dont they charge a fortune for postage?

Specs on these phones don't always translate to real world performance.

You might be lucky, you might not!

Sorry hadn't noticed it was that much ($35) as I had a free shipping voucher for them.

same here - had it nearly a week and I'm pretty impressed actually - I've thrown quite a lot at it and it hasnt complained at all. have you got the 1.6 firmware on yours? only looked quickly at root joy, but all I was getting was roms for the umi zero

Does any one know how to remove viruses installed on chinese phone.
Default search option goes to Baidu automatically. Lot of ads appearing here and there.
Phone crashes more often.
I bought Lenovo K3 Note phone from Ebay. It has some chinese bloatware installed on it.
There is no option to update the phone too. When I contacted Lenovo helpdesk, it says Lenovo doesn't support phones on UK.
