Now Fab Fibre £20/month for 12 momths = £240 (then leave)
£10 router delivery = £250 Effectively £20.33 a month

CASH BACK DEALS via TCB or Quidco

£75 Top cashback (expires 6th April then lower amount or £65 cashback via Quidco) Effectively £14.58 a month (£75 cashback) or £15.42 (with £65 cashback).

NOTE: Cashback is now £65

Now TV is Sky broadband.

Obviously, leave after 12 months.

£14.58 deal is for today only!

This includes zero calls. Just use your mobile!
You can pay £8 extra for unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles if you wish.

This appears the best deal for those leaving BT at their minimum term
(the best BT cashback and reward deal appears to work out as £15.88 at the moment. They will not give this to existing customers, so off I go)!

Effective deals with cashback for fibre:
Now TV £14.58 (12m)
BT* £15.88 (18m) *£5 /month for mobile sims unlimited calls and texts available plus £30 reward = £2.50/month for 12 months!
EE £20.06 (18m)
TalkTalk £22.17 (18m)
PlusNet £22.73 (18m)

***** Update *** TOP CASHBACK IS NOW £65 and NOT £75.

I cannot find a way to select the live date to avoid an early termination charge.
It is common sense people would want to do this and plan in advance. The default is 14 days. Also, I find their "Contact Us" useless. Very slow and cannot answer simple questions. It seems their support is poor. The chat always defaults to television and they transfer and often you are timed out. Phone support has long wait times.

When you call them, Now TV cannot answer questions about changing activation dates. The Irish call centre is next to useless. The manager will refuse to discuss anything with me as I do not have an account with them. What sort of nonsense is this?

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. TalkTalk are angels compared to Now TV, as are BT.

Finally, on the chat a very rude operator called Natalie said one cannot select the date of activation. She said "Look this our process...." This was despite, yesterday, being told that I could. A really bad company, in my view.

Think carefully before signing up to these people.

The router only has 2 ports and it is against their T&Cs to use a different one.

Voting down my own post. I am out!

My wife cannot get Quidco cashback and keep the same number if she signs up to BT.
The household cannot stay with BT and qualify as a new customer and keep the telephone number. Looks like I have to leave BT!

One way is to sign up for a 1 month deal with NOW TV and pay £50 extra. TCB gives £40 back. So 1 month would be £20+£10+ £10 = £40 then go back to BT in the name of my wife! This was I keep the same number. May be worth considering.

Maybe you could cancel, check your contract.
Switching to/from a fibre package will entail an install fee unless explicitly stated as FoC in the terms and conditions.

Many ISP's subsidise the install fee, or cover the cost entirely, but the leaving fee will need to be paid by you; unless your new ISP will cover it.

Luckily, it is not usually as bad as it was when I got fibre (£80 install + £30 leaving charge from my old ISP), but it needs to be factored into the price.
Anybody know what their supplied router is like? The one I got from SSE is absolute toilet. Doesn't even let you put it into modem only mode.

Its a rebranded sky router with two ports on back. Check for reviews.
I think the majority of ISP provided routers are mediocre at best.. Maybe with the exception of BT.
I signed up for this a few days ago, so a couple of things:
I paid £50 extra to convert the 12 month contract into a rolling 30 day contract (cancel any time, no fee).
I need an engineer to come and sort out a BT line (coming from Virgin) and there was no charge for this (usually £50-60 for most ISPs).
The router should be the newish Sky Q router (supposed to be OK) but you should be able to use a non Sky router although its a bit of a malarkey.

It's a good router if id's same one sky use. Just make sure you split the fequencys 2ghz and 5ghz as it's much more efficient.
I've had nowtv broadband for a while with their new router and it's terrible in respect that the whole house isn't covered and it's not a big house .. had no problems with other isps equipment. They've just put their charges up so there's an escape route !

I was going to use my BT hub... but I cannot.

"NOW TV don't use PPPoA authentication on their routers so I'm afraid you would need to use Sky/NOW TV routers to connect (I'm afraid any discussion of how to get around this wouldn't be allowed on the Now TV forum). So if you are needing additional Ethernet ports you'd need to connect a dedicated switch or something similar."

Get a BT Openreach modem for a tenner (or free from someone storing one in a cupboard?) and you can connect anything you want to it once you've got the settings out of the Sky/Now Modem (Google "wireshark"). I have a cable router attached to mine and it works like a dream
I have plusnet bb 9 months left on my contract. There prices are increasing from 5th June. Wondering I can terminate without early termination charges?
I notice the cashback deals are for new customers only. I have NowTV account, would they consider the Now Broadband to be a new account and therefore eligible for cashback?

I signed up a few days ago as my BT contract had expired. I'm planning on using my old BT hub 5A with Openwrt on if I can get it to work on sky vdsl.

According to posts in the skyuser forum they no longer validate your password/username, so you'd just need to set it up to use DHCP Client authentication (option 60/61) with a user name string in the correct format.

They said it is against their T&C to use another router. The support appears useless. The worst I have ever come across. The call centre staff are really poorly trained and lack common sense. In my view they are unemployable.

Did you really wait until the BT contact expired and have to pay ridiculous costs? Surely, you want to move on the 12 month expiry, and not stay a day longer or is this just me?

Well my BT contract runs out in the next few days and Now will get activated a bit over a week later, ideally I'd have signed up a bit sooner. I was looking at Vodafone, but not at-all keen on 18 month contracts in case they are crap and noticed now were offering a £5 discount.

Bad support doesn't phase me, having faced numerous calls and many hours on the line to AOHell support over many weeks each time starting from scratch, trying to get my login reinstated so the router they supplied would connect after my account was erroneous converted to a locked down AOL connection software + modem only, only to get near dial-up speeds a month or so after it was fixed because talktalk bought them out and introduced severe throttling.

You wont get any support in using an alternate router, but I'd be surprised if you get kicked off or anything, just plug the supplied router in if you require support to fix a problem.

I am not using them. When you check which package you can get they display the download speed you should get and not upload.
I will get my wife to sign up to BT as a new customer. With sim deals of £5 a month for unlimited calls and texts and £30 reward, it beats Now TV (for me). I have had no issues with BT, except the high charges after the initial period.
I find NowTV support pathetic. I am not taking up the deal I posted

I've gone for this over Easter. Activation date in a couple of weeks..
What I cant find anywhere is shall I cancel with Sky (apparently the same company) or hope what it says on their site works and that the other ISP will cancel for me? (Don't want to be paying out twice for overlap) Coming from Sky standard BB and going to NowTV Fab Fibre only.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Yea thats what i was going to do woth BT just get my wife to sign up and bingo she's a new customer. Confirmed by BT. The only thing is you change your landline number.

Well i don't use it anymore so BT can't hold you against that! I like BT sport and they gave me a cracking deal of £26 including BT sport so can't complain. Had no issues with BT at all and you can use your own router too.

They did not say to me I need to change the landline number.
But you seem correct, you cannot go via Quidco and get cashback.
To keep it, you have to do it with BT direct.
Oh well, I now I have to find another supplier!

I had someone from sky come out as i kept moaning about dropping signals. basically as standard it likes to push one then the other but modern tech devices want one or the other.

Having got a lot of chat from folk in a recent European health insurance card post because it had been posted twice since December I find it a little frustrating now to see this now tv broadband in the hottest deals of the day list for the third time in less than a month.

It’s a decent deal but would like to see an even cheaper one for standard broadband.

Why do you care if a deal is hot or not?
I do not care and even slated the deal I posted on the basis I cannot select a date of going live and poor support.

Okay. The following are cashback deals for ADSL:

TalkTalk 12m £13.74
EE 18 m £14.00
Sky 12m £14.16

I created a spreadsheet and have many more.

Thanks for the better deals listed in your comment. As a user of this website you know why I care, we want hot deals here. As I explained I see this on the hottest deals list so expect it to meet the guidelines for hot deals and it doesn’t. So it’s frustrating. I wouldn’t think about it so much but I was reminded a few times recently with regards to a ‘deal’ I posted for the health card.

If it’s not been posted for a month you can post it again, if it has been posted then the moderators should be aware of it.

I don’t need to explain myself, everyone here has a rough idea of the way the site works and seeing a new deal means you expect it to be new. I’m in the market for new broadband, I’m aware this offer runs until May so I expect what I’ve been taught to expect.

Kudos to you for the leg work and I’ll look into the talk talk or ee ones to see if they’re good, 18 months with EE will bring me up to around Black Friday 2019 so that might be worth the extra pennies.
I've just ordered the 12month Fab Fibre. TCB £75 offer has ended, but Quidco are doing £70 and this has now tracked on my Quidco account.

As has been said, no option to select activation date and defaults to 14 days. Ok for me as my TT contract will have finished by then.

Always a gamble moving providers, but let's see what happens.
