Now Free, A family day out at Samlesbury Hall (Preston)

Im always stuck for new places to visit with the kids as places like theme parks are only a treat as they cost a bomb nowerdays so usually looking for free days out and came across this! (partial for anything Haunted :D)

Info:

Welcome to Samlesbury Hall, one of the stunning stately homes of Lancashire, a haven for history lovers, where the past meets the present - a fantastic, free family day out. What will you discover?

We are closed every Saturday and occasionally on Fridays. (i assume for weddings)

Please make sure to visit our opening times before you travel.

There is no charge to enter the Hall and grounds when we are open and guided tours are also free on Sundays!

They have a list of Free tours with tour guides (sundays)
They have animals, food, haunted house, play area, bee & heritage center and more!

Thats so cool! i looked on their site and they are closed dec/jan (except sundays for the tours) so will wait to see what availability they have for feb.. wonder if they actually allow kids? (my sons 11) he also loves stuff like this.. hmm defo one im gona go for thank you very much for posting!
Really enjoy visiting Samlesbury Hall with the family. The lady who does the witch tour is really funny aswell as informative!! The kids enjoy it because she makes it almost like a live Horrible History tour but just be careful because she likes to pick on members of the audience. I also think there is still the little farm and working honey bee hives to visit.
Thanks O.P , not far from me. It's on the calendar for later in the year.

The witch tour was hilarious, we are going to go & see the Henry 8th tour this year.
