DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS BETTER THAN A SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 2 10.1 THAT MY SON IS USING JUST FOR GAMES

Anyone experience of these with toddlers (2 year old)? He loves doing jigsaws on our phones and wondering if this would be good

Great price.... Just a shame the crippled Amazon android is absolutely garbage (I know you can load alternative roms but it's not straightforward for most people and shouldn't be necessary)

Same thing without amazon would be a lot more expensive. Easy enough to install play store and you can install any roms then

It is and it isnt. The reason is the Amazon App store is restricted there's not as many games than the Google Play Store, however that said if you want to have a tinker you can put on the Google Play Store onto the Amazon Fire Tab. I've got a Fire 6HD and have the Google Play Store installed onto it.

Yes! I got these for my twins when they were 2 and still going strong 2 years later!! I highly recommend and much better than any other tablet

How come if a mod posts a deal with no proof it's left in deals, if a member does it's moved to misc

I can recommend too for a 2 yr old. Got one for our little one for a flight to Dubai and kept him entertained. 2 year no quibble guarantee too and just had a charger and cable replaced FOC by Amazon.
The tablet seems to take everything thrown at it....or should the be the other way around?!

Why not get the normal one thats cheaper? As far as I'm aware, you get a replacement guarantee and a case. But chances are the non kids ones will drop quite a bit next week.

Keep an eye on QVC as brought 2 for £88 pound 2 weeks aho

I would not get it for your mum. The case makes it look very toy-ish, fine for kids and the main thing is they get 1 year access to Fire for kids unlimited which is apps games and books free but all aimed at kids. Also get a 2 year warranty.

I got these last year and got them on offer the week before Black Friday. They didn’t have any good deals on them for Black Friday. Great tablets!

Argos were selling these tablets for the exact same price a few weeks back were they not???

Edit, they werent. It was £79.99

Brilliant price at £69.99 bought this for my 2 & 5 year old they are great

Good deal, the case is £20 on its own, no kickstand though.

Just 2 years past is my son's and its been fine the whole time, would probably buy another straightaway if it broke without thinking.

No, I bought an amazon fire tablet for one my younger ones and it was rubbish, Amazon exchanged it for a kids edition one as it totally froze up. The deal OK for younger kids but I wouldn't buy one again. Samsung make good tablets and phones so get one their tablets.

For all those saying should I shouldn't I, amazon returns are easy. If it drops on black Friday just re-buy and return or live chat with amazon and they will refund the difference.

Hi please can I ask how did you use it on the flight? WiFi? I have these for my twins and they just love it and hence I want to take it on a trip that we are going but was wondering how would these work without WiFi? Did you download stuff beforehand so Lil one could watch later? Thanks

How are these for 7 year olds? This or alternative? Was thinking about the HD8

Perfect Christmas presents for the kids

Thanks for this. Considering this for my son. When the Amazon kids subscription runs out, is it worthless or are there still plenty of apps.. Is it still worth it as a tablet

Mine is 16 months and she loves her tablet. We have a basic amazon fire, with the same case.

Works really well and she plays cbbebbies games on it, and YouTube for programmes and music.

I would say get a basic model of the amazing fire (I think I paid £30 delivered), then also buy this case. Kids won't know the different with HD and all that

I'm searching but can't find the Playstore on my fire. Could you tell me how please?

You need to install play store separately by downloading the relevant files, there are howtos on the net just google however even when you do this and install games not available from Android app store you can't assign them into the kid profiles neither can they use Prime video to watch programs/films even kids stuff. So you end up just letting them use the adult profile which rather defeats the point. The tablets are good, My sons was to replace his well used Hudl2 and I do think overall its more robust and the guarantee has removed any worry about him breaking it. I think the Hudl2 screen was better though. Battery life is good and now Netflix let you download content its been really useful for those times you don't have wifi or a good connection.

For any parents considering these or just some generic tablet, these have the best parental controls of any tablet available. Each user (child) has a profile and you can lock down the profile to your needs (restrict the apps they have access to, restrict the amount of time spent per day etc etc). These parental control were reason enough for me to go for one (and i've been through a fair few other tablets).
