I’ve seen them, I have a Roku 3 though already and Now Tv is in that and I don’t use it, just Three Go Binge apps.

Fire TV stick for £25 from Very tomorrow is interesting for Prime Video, how does Smart compare to Fire ?

I have a Phillips Ambilight so have the Amazon Prime Video app there, seen Smart for £20 but I don’t have any Now TV subs as have Virgin Mix TV (£15) and am on a 6 month Student Prime, the Fire stick would be a gift for a full Prime user and they have Sky, but I will have a play with it and see if worth £25 to use it and APV away from home and order another if needs be. If you could hack the Smart box I’d have one already lol

Amazon Video works great on Roku 3

But mine is set up for Go Binge only apps so people’s dont give me a Three mortgage over 1 month term lol

Can anyone recommend the HD 10? I need a large tablet to type notes for work and send emails etc. It really is a minefield for a 10 inch tablet around £100, really wanted a Xiaomi tablet but they’re still so expensive (albeit worth it).

I've stayed away from Amazon tablets as they had their own crappy UI with no access to play store without hacking every time there was an update to the Amazon OS.

Not sure if that's changed. I prefer something closer to standard OS.
I am sure Amazon will be doing £29 Fire's on Friday too. So its nice to know about Very's deals too.

Amazing screen for the price, but it takes 4-5 hours to fully charge the battery.
Does the £30 off £60 code still work? LXJLX
Edited by: "waynexyzxxx" 21st Nov 2017
People, save yourself future grief and buy from anywhere but Very. Any saving is just not worth it.
They had a code the other day LXJLX to get £30 off a £60 credit spend. I got the echo for £39.99 it may still work. I'll be trying again with a different address
Oh and amazon will replace any amazon items even if bought from other retailers
Do the tablets support Netflix, YouTube and Amazon video I am assuming?
Tablets are ok but lack a lot of apps.
Anyone know if I can get the google play store on this thing.

Yes, it's possible, you need to enable “Apps from Unknown Sources” (making your tablet that little bit less secure): howtogeek.com/232…et/
Gmail doesn't work at the moment for many, however (crashes on launch), though Amazon's client is servicable. And you can't override the Amazon user interface (without some more serious changes).

You can still add Underground apps for free to Amazon Fire tablets.
amazon.co.uk/Und…ps/
But Amazon's Actually Free/Underground program will slowly be shut down (2019)
