It’s a mod posting so obviously an advert, coming directly from Virgin.

To answer my own question:

"Tethering and peer to peer file sharing prohibited."

If you don’t need the unlimited and 40GB is enough try for this one, includes roll over so potentially you can have 60gb each month if you don’t use it, 30 day deal and will probably do most for years to come.

They also have a £4 5Gb deal as well. It’s mentioned on page 1 and 3 in the same link below. Added the link to the original £4 thread, ignore the title though.

edit just to be clear as there have been a couple of comments I have put TRY and highlighted it in bold later as well it may or may not be available to everyone as is mentioned in the thread but if you can get it and it’s right for you then great. If it’s not no need to come moaning

no offence but your saying "they have" like theses deals ARE 100% available. ive been trying to get the £4 deal (which btw i'd actually pay a bit more for if they opened up negotiations). I've phoned 5 or 6 times now & each & every time they've told me point blank "no". stories have varied from the deal was only for 31/10 & 1/11to its not in the system at all.

i've tried the "my fiend/my colleague got this package" and each & every time they've asked me for said person's name (first & surname), they even asked for their address so they can run it on their system.
i'm honestly at a loss of what to do

No doubt its a cracking deal. Just wish i could get the 40GB deal some seemed to get recently for £10 a month after discounts applied. That was rolling monthly as well, amazing deal.

This is really good also just not quite as amazeballs. I suppose this more of a true deal though as available to all. Thanks Op, now for the dilemma, decisions, decisions.

I am on a £15 a month rolling monthly contract with 20Gb data plus roll-over. I have tethered both in the UK and abroad and not had any comeback from Virgin.

I get this same deal on 3 mobile; unlimited everything for £20pm. Although my plan also comes with 12GB of tethering allowance.

It's nice to see other companies dipping their toes back in the unlimited data pool.

Been on the phone to EE tonight. I'm on a £20 20gb rolling contract. They wouldn't really budge on prices yet but said Friday would bring a max plan 30gb for £17. I know it's nothing like this deal but might help someone.

Is there any benefit of going direct with EE compared to Virgin or Plusnet ?

Where can I get the £4 5GB deal? Thanks

From tomorrow 9AM i think.

I had similar deal from them last year. The speed was capped and slow. Switched to PlusNet. Getting 40mbps on 4Gb average. Before it was less than 1.5 mbps

Phoned up as existing customer was paying 12 a month for 6gb and managed to get 8gb for 10 a month. Tried to push them for more but best I could get. Good enough for me though

What's the T&C's on the unlimited data?
I assume they rate limit after X GB's?

So glad to know the rumours were true! Spoke to them a few days ago and they mentioned they had rumours about this in their offices. So they asked for me to hang on till Friday. But it’s here a day early yes!

It's unlimited because they cap you still not a bad deal though. But you aren't going to be getting full EE speed.

Is it truly unlimited? Might leave 3 for them since I'm on doing 110gb+ on three currently

Faster speeds, virgin and plusnet essentially piggy back of EE, thus they have slower speeds. Won't matter for most people. I am personally with virgin right now. I think my max download I get is 40mb and I live in a very good signal area.

The max plan has the fastest speeds but don't think Virgin all that far behind to be fair. I have a couple of sims for my daughter's phones through Virgin and was with Virgin myself for nearly 10 years but I've found service by EE better. I want to drive my price down and ideally have more data too. I will wait till Fri - EE operator alluded to being able to drive an even better deal due to my loyalty (been since Orange days) so will see what that brings.

Virgin use EE masts at a diluted speed but the biggest reason not to go with Virgin Mobile is because of the companies shambles of a method of operating and Fillipino call centres who you will not get any sense out of. I urge you not to do business with Virgin Mobile or Virgin Media. Just look at Virgin Mobile's Trust Pilot reviews uk.trustpilot.com/rev….uk . You are welcome.

I am unable to comment on Three, just my endless headaches with Virgin Mobile and Media. If you have any problem it will be like pulling teeth dealing with Virgin opposed to other companies. Their sales team are and english literate, their existing customer team are illiterate Fillipinos who don't understand the phonetic alphabet let alone English.
