I got my sim today and my phone number is my date of birth backwards!...

074YYYYMMDD

How freaky is that! I had to call them and ask if that was intentional or not and was told no, completey random! What are the odds??

I dont believe in luck but I have to buy a lottery ticket as when I used to play it many years ago I would use my date of birth, door number and the age of my sister when I started playing.

Or,
Simple, they're stupid! :-)

Iv'e just got my pac code from plusnet gone for the virgin offer,4gb unused rolls over to next month 2500 minutes unlimited text and free data on whatsapp facebook and messenger.same price £8 12 months contract though.

Italy is on the list, also

Good deal

What do you guys use that much data for? I guess for a hotpoint that would be easily done.

Can you use personal hotspot on this?

do they answer their phones for mobile contracts, i got broadband and it takes forever to get through, best time i've got through was at least 15 mins

I'm using plusnet mobile, and they are fine except for one thing... they don't support short number texting, like 87654 ect... something to bear in mind.

Voted cold because I need at least 10gb a month

Only had to ring them twice both times to add a bolt on as my son caned the data. Both times sorted within five minutes or so, including once having to be put through to payments dept first. Could be just luck but no issues so far...just wish they let you do the bolt ons online.

Really liking the deal, but the reviews on trust pilot are putting me off.

Most of the reviews are about the broadband service, how is the mobile service in comparison? Anyone been hit with hidden charges etc when they cancelled their contract?

Hi I just called them and they say they do not support tethering .

I've switched from giffgaff to plusnet , after providing PAC code to plusnet it's now over two weeks to transfer my old number, many phone calls and chats wit customer service didn't help,so far not good experience for me

Had their broadband for several years and cannot fault it - had a few issues that were resolved via on-line chat or the phone (one when I was being an idiot and putting the wrong login details into my 3rd party router, despite them saying they can't really support it)

It was just re-branded from Life Mobile to Plusnet shortly after BT took over EE (BT own Plusnet too) - It's unlikely they share much other than branding at this point

I'm with Plusnet mobile on the 4Gb for a tenner, and I tether regularly. it could be the Tariff though.. I was with three previously and they only allow tethering on their better plans and not their basic ones

I have their £10 p/m 5gb plan and tether quite often. If you go to their help page (Link) and scroll down to "Can i use my Plusnet mobile for tethering and how much does it cost ?" - the answer is given as "Tethering is when you use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot and use it to connect other devices to the internet. You'll need to check with your handset's manufacturer to see if you can do that on your phone.
Remember, the data you use while tethering will count towards your data allowance. And if you use all your allowance you'll need to pay for the extra amount you've used on top of your usual plan.

I went from id-mobile to plusnet mobile, old sim went offline for 4 hours on the specified day, then transferred. So no issues with me. This was last week

I switched from giffgaff to Plusnet mobile last week with two contracts.
Both giffgaff numbers stopped working in the early morning but ported across to Plusnet by 10pm that evening.

I'd done the same last December, but that time the port took Plusnet 4 days and needed several discussions via their Twitter CS to get them to hurry up.

Guess it depends on how lucky you are at the time.

Doesnt look like you get free calls between plusnet subscribers like you do with GiffGaff. Might be worth bearing that in mind when jumping ship. Data allowance and price are great but everyone I know is on GiffGaff so minutes will take the hit instead! Doh!
