Lophole from previous thread - credit Luvclub

"You could exchange as many times as you want as long as the sales assistant don't recognise you. Last November I exchanged £40 Entertainment vouchers 5 or 6 times and used them to purchase console games/bluray. However it is not possible to use more than one voucher in one transaction.

There was also a loophole in the T&C which allowed you to get around the promotion expiry and unused vouchers expiring. If you have unused vouchers and don't have anything to purchase just yet then use it to purchase something which is the same value as the voucher. Best to do this on the final day of the promotion. You would then have an additional 28 days to exchange the unused item for something that you would really want even if it is after the end of the promotion. If you really have no use for it then just ask for a refund and they would refund the original points that were used to exchange for the voucher. "

Edit: Also see comment 40 on this thread by Luvclub over a new sensible addition to the terms and conditions - thanks again

Not hot from me ever as Tesco clubcard points are not only worth twice as much to start off with but then you can double up as many as you want on a single purchase whereas this deal give you for example up to £20 of fa £400 Tv- hardly something to write home about.
Looks very good though Chanchi - great find, I am sure you will make a lot of people's bank balances come the end of December look that bit better

Comment one looks extremely reminisent to the description in JHT, for that reason I am out and a quick swift cold.

Sorry.

Ooooops, missed the (_;) off. My bad
I don't really consider collecting Nectar points anymore since they reduced the points you get per pound spent and prefer cash back sites. Tesco have now reduced the points you get for shopping other than at Tesco. Good deal if you do collect Nectar points though.

Min £5 voucher, !!!!
You won't get any change
Voucher can be used in 1 category! You cannot spend say £7.50 in clothes department and £2.50 in electronic
Thanks op, heat up

Numpty, whats Tesco clubcard got to do with this deal? I prefer to shop at Sainsburys over Tesco, I have £30 in nectar points and now they will be worth £60. Its a great chance to stock the cupboards with Christmas booze so thanks op!

The current fuel promotion is an excellent chance to collect points, 10 points per litre.
I agree that shopping at sainsburys is hardly worth it for the points these days.
All seems unnecessarily complicated. life is too short to read through a million T's & C's
Thanks very much Chanchi. Great effort.

Been waiting for this for ages! got loads to spend!
Finally something to spend my points on!

Heat added - But none of the links work yet - Early night? X)
Good deal but hoping they do the pizza offer again, going to wait for that, heat added.
Won't be getting nectar points via Sainsburys mobile network anymore as they are closing it 15th January.

Worth mentioning if you're an AMEX Gold Card user you can exchange your AMEX points for Nectar Points.
I don't get why the cold votes and negative comments. At the end of the day your loyalty points are worth double! I have about £20 saved up since last double up as I live in a small town with only a Sainsburys to shop in. I prefer tesco but shop at Sainsburys as its in my town. I see loyalty points as free money anyway and save them up for every double event. Will be using mine to purchase Christmas gifts, thanks for the heads up! Heat from me, because it's still double the worth and better than nothing!
This might coincide with another "20% off 6 bottles of wine" Sainsbury's promo!
IF you want to go down the Amex gold route you can get an extra 2000 points (22,000 total not 20,000) if some one like me with a gold card already refers you.

Tesco you get points worth 1% of all spend not 0.5% with Nectar. Then you can double up as many tesco vouchers as you want on deals. I have about 700 quids worth of nectar point so would love to buy some big ticket item but the mean spirited £20 limit prevents that.

I notice this expires 24th December. Could you use this trick to swap full price items purchased before xmas with sale price ones purchased after xmas?

end date is 24th November according to the web page
Thank you!! I've been waiting for this
I chose to shop at Sainsbury as their fresh produce is in a different league to Tesco and not because of their reward programme. The Nectar points are a happy by-product and I welcome any posts that allows me to stretch these rewards.

2 points. First is for anyone in the market for some Disney DVDs. They are currently on BOGOF and with any luck, will still be running when this promo comes into force. Last year, I redeemed £20 of Nectar points which I then used to purchase £40 of Disney DVDs at BOGOF. So for £20, I bought 3 DVD and got another 3 free. With the Disney Movie Reward points from these, I got a further 7th DVD - not bad for £20.

Second point, Tu clothing are included in this offer which normally means that any promo vouchers or ocassionally the 25% off event runs in the week prior to the Double Points. Unfortunately they never coincide but it is great news for anyone waiting for 25% off.
Great to see my "loophole" is being used

Also, there has been a lovely and sensible addition to the T&C:

"Where goods from your selected category cost less than the value of your Nectar Double Up voucher the following terms apply:
1) Where the difference is 50p or more, then additional goods from your selected category must be purchased so that the full value of the Nectar Double Up voucher is spent in one transaction;
2) Where the difference is between and inclusive of 6p and 50p, the balance may be applied against any other goods in your shopping basket. The full value of the voucher must be spent and no change will be given;
3) Where the difference is between and inclusive of 1p and 5p, the balance will be given as change. This change will be applied against any other goods in your basket or, where no other goods are purchased, given in cash."

This is great for example for purchasing those £9.99 or £39.99 items so you could make use of the exact voucher amount instead of having to overspend.
