Belter of a price for return flights to San Francisco. It's only a 24 hour sale, or until all 300 flights are bought. I'll post more info once it's live, before they were from Manchester, so will double check.

Yep, it's Manchester ^^

There's loads to do out there, it's difficult to fit it all in really, I've always wanted to check out the Golden Gate cruise and Madame Tussauds out there. You can get passes that will get you access to loads of different attractions. There's a few different ones about, some much more expensive than others (As you'd expect) I think most people go with ideas in mind though. Feel free to share what you're doing or have done. The bridge is a must, proper iconic

I've never been over to the US and been bored!
Just a thought.

Be aware you have to book an Alcatraz tour well in advance to be sure of getting in.
Not sure £300 is much of a bargain...you can get flights for around the £330-£350 mark normally.

Well we enjoyed the London one, which was hectic to be fair. I'd not go there just for that, but if we were nearby we'd check it out. Everyone likes different things Maybe I'm a grandad?

Ha, no worries I was probably a bit harsh I've just never understood the appeal of paying money to look at famous people made of wax but as you say, it's obviously popular!

Was crazy in London! The other half loves it and the Hendrix and Marley stuff in there was pretty cool. I dunno, I'll go anywhere and everywhere i'm told Found a few places that weren't on my radar by doing that. I ended up on the Coronation Street set a couple of years ago, not watched that in years, then there I was... looking right at Hayley Croppers coat.

Also if it's part of a pass that offers a few attractions at one price, then I'd probably make the most of it.

Checked again It's definitely not 300 flights just the one a day if your are lucky so its 300 seats max.
Good price. Love San Fran. Alcatraz was great. Science museum was pretty good too. Few festivals on there for free too.
Went on this same deal in June - Manchester - San Fran. All good and straight forward. However, having been there twice in 2 years, i'd say there is little to offer in San Fran/Oakland for me.

Better to fly to Oakland, smaller quicker airport, across the bay from San Fran, and better accommodation options on air bnb. Just jump on the metro or ferry to San Fran for exploring.

But, there is little on offer in San Fran (unless you know someone who lives there and knows the inside city). Decent or interesting Bars/Clubs/Pubs not easy to come by, are spread out, nothing special. Sights - meh. Food and drink, nothing to write home about and had better in England and Europe, lots of walking to achieve little.

I did enjoy the ferry from Oakland to San Fran, walking around Berkley campus, fantastic air bnb stay, recreationals!, lake Tahoe (separate stay required, and dont bother with Reno -small, limited, samey, and not pretty ).

Had a much better time in Florida, but suppose that was because I had a good friend living there who took me and the family off the tourist trail. Also prettier and more scenic, more options on offer, more historical.

You got an upgrade to First? British Airways don't operate a First Class service to New York from Gatwick. They only offer Economy, Premium economy and Club World.
Shame it's not October for TwitchCon.

But it's £300 for BA at the end of October
or £300 for BA in September....

Not really a deal.

nice price but be aware, TC Airlines are one of the worst performers of recent years, delays are very very common, poor service and they make you pay for everything, it aint cheap neither......
Alcatraz tours are all booked up until mid-September at the earliest. Though you can do a 60 minute boat tour around it and under the golden Gate Bridge. Also bear in mind San Francisco City center and the bay is shrouded in low cloud for most of the summer originating from sea fog spilling over the twin peaks. So not much of a view of the golden Gate Bridge at all (I visited there for 3 days last week). Have been told by locals that this is typical of their summers. Worth visiting silicon Valley tho if you are a fan of Apple/Google.

US geography isn't my strong point, but isn't Times Square in New YorK? And isn't SF 3000 miles further over on the opposite coast?
Strange question, hows traveling to US for single muslim male? I been twice before (trump) questioned and let through both times but with family. I've heard stories of people being turned away without much cause..

Shouldn't be an issue, do you have a british Passport?

I have friends that fly back and forth to the states, msulim, non muslim. One who is not muslim holds a passport belonging to one of the countries that have seen tighter scrutiny. As long as all your papers are in order, you are clear where you are staying it should be no differernt to any other person visiting, at least that's the experience of those I know and I have witnessed (travellewd to states with them).

Er yeah good spot did you really need to waste your time posting that i'm sure everybody knows i was just saying it's not a bargain as i got new york deal from BA for better value so maybe check out BA
Managed to pick the same deal up in January for travel at May half term for myself, the wife and two kids. We had a great time. Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, painted ladies, Fisherman's Wharf, city centre shopping, all great, but the highlight was a trip to Yosemite national park. Hired a car for the duration and drove out there for a day. A fair drive at three hours, but the road trip was part of the experience. Yosemite was breathtaking and well worth the drive IMHO. Had never visited the USA before, but definitely want to return after visiting San Fran. Flight was delayed as mentioned above, but the lounge at Manchester airport absorbed the damage of that. Plane was comfortable and meals and entertainment were decent.
Took one of these deals around Jan - great value but expect delays. The flight to SF was delayed by nearly 3 hours.. not enough to claim compensation but enough to be bored out of your skull at the airport.

Return flight also delayed although admittedly it was bad weather which we soon experienced.. was by less than an hour too if I remember correctly

Might have been on the same flight haha! Friend and I left on the 28th. Was also my first time in US, enjoyed it loads. Hoping to visit Yosemite next time

What time of the year was that? Booked through ba site?

Booked in jan or feb i always book early with BA and get some cracking deals we go away 3 or 4 times a year and always save ££££££££
If Alcatraz is booked I believe you can go with local companies who include in a tour. Sure it will cost a little more. Sure I saw adverts for that but I booked direct. It’s defo worth going well put together experience. Can stay as long as you wish. Also different tours by rangers were interesting. Also I saw shark attack a seal there too as an added experience!

Just be polite, friendly should be fine especially with British passport. They don’t like stamps of some countries. I had an issue with some Islamic country stamps in Arabic in my passport they asked me a lot of question & I am a white, British female. I find depends on the official you speak to. I have issues on occasions but travel their fairly often so may be why. Should be fine only stop British Muslims a handful of times.

Depends what you want from a holiday. Florida very different to San Fran. Many day trips or few days you can do to National Parks. Ive been to San Fran twice & I love it.
I think the 300 seats on offer have all gone!
