I only have one problem with this....THE SCARY PEOPLE IN THE TOY AISLE!!! Those women (mainly women) are crazy! I'm a parent too but their behaviour is appalling!

Lets be honest this is cack now compared to about 5 years ago. The only things that are half price are their own brand toys.
Can generally find things the same price elsewhere.

You mean the sale where Argos raised the prices the day the sale started, to the point it would have been cheaper to buy 3 items off sale the day before?

It's the freaks with no kids that buy toys for their eBay store. Shops need to set buying limits on these sales

I've found this is helpful for the under 8 kids present buying. In the last few I've spent less and less. I think this is down to the fact that some toys aren't released till last minute to build demand. (Most of which are naffly pointless ) I also think the staff are amazing on toy sale mania morning. Good Luck to anyone going, I'll skip it this year.

agree this is an awful sale nowadays compared to a few years back - jsut make sure you research prices before paying as not so many good deals nowadays

This sale is rubbish these days. Best to wait for the Argos one, then watch Amazon drop their prices and get it there.
Unless of course you just want Sainsburys own brand toys.

Thanks Chanchi

I remember the days when all toys were half price, got some Lego sets for kids etc was brilliant, but now sadly not as good, I agree too many own brand toys, we want the ALL toys half price back, please!

I stupidly went last year 6 days after having abdominal surgery...there was "crazy women" barging people out of the way and "accidentally" shuvving others with trolleys! I got half way down the isle and decided to get the hell out of there before I ended up back in hospital! I have honestly never seen anything like it...:o

They cancelled the April double up but did confirm it will be available before end of year. Usually runs in November for a small period of time.

Thanks for the reply. Will hold on a while longer then. There’s 1000 points for filling up at BP on the app. Not sure if it’s account specific, but the points got applied for me within 48 hours. Hope it helps someone.

Try the Boots sale in January. For fun, I went for the opening last year for the first time. Absolutely terrifying! never again.

Argos 3 for 2 is effectively UP TO 33% off and you need to buy three. So anything that is save a third or half price, you're better off at Sainsbury's.

It was rubbish last year best toys only had. 1/3rd off
Edited by: "cupcake125" 16th Oct

All the toys were out when I went shopping yesterday. I would have gone back but there was nothing of interest. Lots of toddler toys and big own brand sets. Maybe worth having a look today to see if there’s anything of interest to you.

Last year, our Sainsburys wouldn't let people take trolley down the aisle. I thought that was a bloody marvellous idea

Oh yes, thanks for the heads up

Anyone got any idea what's on it this year? I've seen a few but last year someone posted a list of everything and was just wondering if there is one flying around again this year

Wonder if Amazon will do deals?

added to OP - thanks

Nothing great this year. Didn’t buy anything as most only a third off and price has been bumped up already. Cheaper on amazon for majority of stuff

Just got back from Sainsbury's. I didn't buy very much. There seemed to be a lot of deals on the baby/toddler stuff, so might be worth a look if you have a little one.

So this is only in store? I can’t find it online x😭😭😭😭😭

Similar size queue the other side as well. They opened the other side first, lots of angry people in this queue! Some people going around trying to push 3 overloaded trolleys of toys! I expect I'll see a lot of it on ebay later....

Our Christmas shopping is now complete though.
