hi all. Nice camera. Nice find. Code works today (oct 15) for nectar card holders.

But buying a camera from a DIY store. oO

'Focus DIY' would have been more appropriate for a camera ....... sorry

Imagine going to one of their stores for advice on how to use it.

No praise for my remark then?

As lomg as you are prepared to use auto all the time and photograph only in bright daylight, you'll be OK. For anything else, better look elsewhere.

Ignore the website name, you are really buying from Argos Direct (as most people on here know both brands combine under H.R.G.). As for the camera, a better deal would be a refurb (as new) from the Fuji Shop site (as is also known to regulars on HUKD).

was never £250.

Decent compact - it's not a bridge camera with full manual settings!
Great as a "shot to relax" camera

A Panasonic TZ8 at around £100 will fit your pocket (and your wallet) better than this and give you equal performance.

TZ8 is a good camera, but I'm not sure if it's better than this nikon.

Personally - I don't like zooms larger than 5x, if a lens is good for everything, it's not good at all.
I have P300 with 3x zoom and f1.8 lens, more than enough for portraits and landscapes.

But i do understand users who want to get much much closer to their subjects without spending to much money.

Tempted by this until I saw the comment about a TZ8 for £100 - where from?

Refurbished, I grant you, but at £97.98 delivered with a full Panasonic 12 month warranty it has to be a goer

Quite good feedback on Amazon

Hi I have just sent back my second faulty Fujifilm F500 EXR.

Around 1 in 3 of my photos are taken inside at weddings parties and the like. With the rest of the photos usually outside on holiday. I am looking for something that works well at both. Definitely has to take good photos with the flash indoors. I like a minimum 10x optical zoom & I also love the 24/25mm wide angle lens although would prefer 18-20mm. I have a budget of £120

Would this be a good camera for me or has anyone got a better choice?

Thanks

quidco @3%...takes another £3.50 off, making it around £119.44 delivered...nice christmas prezzie for someone.

139 in argos and the cheapest BIN on ebay is 143.99...gotta be a bargain if 'new' is what you want.

Went for it

False RRP. Cold.
