Its from Ebuyer. Probably the worst customer services team out there.. so unreliable
SSD prices are crashing this year due to 4 bit memory cell technology. Till now it was 3 bit memory cell. Once 4 bit cell technology becomes mainstream, there wont be any spinning platters . I cannot wait to see end of those very heavy and delicate monsters .

Wait for Amazon to price match, that way you'll at least be able to RMA it if needed.
Bloomin good price!

Hot!
Wow, that's cheap!! Lots of heat.

This might be a stupid HotUKdeals noob question, but do Amazon do that a lot? How long do they normally take?

I rather buy the 980gb
Agree about the poor Ebuyer customer service, take the Amazon option
I have the 240GB version of this after having bought it for 40 GBP. I have had it for 2 years so far and I have had 0 problems with it. Would recommend.

It's good to see PC component prices coming down after the crypto craze.
Bought this 2nd hand yesterday for £50, great drive.. improved the performance on my laptop greatly!
I paid more than this at the last Prime Day sale.
Geez, another one... Should we wait for Crucial or Samsung to reach this price or just go for SanDisk? Seems like some people are happy with this and some are not even close to achieving the advertised speeds for this SSD.

Later: Hmm, this or the A-data? Same price, any major differences?

This one. More reliable, much bigger name in SSDs, been making them for longer.

Thought as much. Grass is always greener
How do you use these things? Lol. Is it a simple plug in to laptop via USB cable or something and then you have the extra capacity

This would be more for internal storage, where use the sata cables to connect direct to motherboard,, there are upgrade kits that allow for usb but thats geared more towards when first setting up - eg move boot os to new drive then swap and restart...

I've been ordering from Ebuyer for probably 15 years or more and I've always found their service to be exceptional..

There business returns are questionable. Returned a DOA display and replaced it with a monitor with a cracked panel then weren’t willing to replace it again.
Amazon price matched yet ??
Had some of these, good price for the storage GB but the write speed is awful, lucky to get 350mb/s writing most of the time, with bursts up to 380ish, when its meant to be rated at 450mb/s+ !!

Save up a few more £'s and get yourself the Ultra or a 3D v-nand ssd, much better later tech inside and 570mb/s both ways
Will it fit my hp pavillion G6?
I don't trust Ebuyer now, they used to be the main site i bought from.
If you have equipment fail in warranty they only offer a partial refund (pro rated)

Never bought from them since, there's better companies out there without these ridiculous policies

I ordered from them for around the same amount of time. As soon as I had an issue it was like platting fog to get them to accept fault or show any sort of compassion when you report on an issue with your order. Stopped my custom and went to amazon. Their loss, I literally spent all my wage on their site for years . Check out reviews of their site now, they have/had a proportionate refund for warranties. What a joke.

Amazing price. I paid £125 for one a while back and felt like that was fantastic value at the time. HOT.

Until something goes wrong.
I asked them not so long ago about their warranty on hard drives. It looks like after 30 days they wash their hands of it and send you to manufacturer:

"The warranty on your item is 3 years with the manufacturer Sandisk.

You are covered for the first 30 days for return with Ebuyer, if reported
after the first 30 days you would then need to revert to the manufacturer
for your warranty.

If your product becomes faulty we would advise dependent on the time frame
to contact either Ebuyer or the manufacturer to ensure the matter can be
dealt with accordingly.

Without disrupting the physical inner workings??...Yeah if you get an external enclosure via USB and sellotape it to laptop

Otherwise you’ll still need the external enclosure or USB to SATA cable and use something like EaseUS to clone your 180GB. Loads of guides on the internet

Can see 1tb HDD for 20£, don't see 1tb SSD at 130£ dropping near £20 anytime next decade

Yeah but at least Ebuyer pays their fair shar of tax which goes towards essential services.

With Amazon it's the Bezos tax, welcome to the world of the 1%.

Your observations are valid however most people goes for what affects them at that point and time if I was buying I would go Amazon all day everyday as I have a very busy life and no spare tine to deal with those %$#! At Ebuyer
Is the Kingston A400 480Gb a better buy than this deal (Sandisk SSD Plus 480Gb)?

Real-life Performance seems to be better (averaged across all samples)
ssd.userbenchmark.com/Com…710
and the Kingston is about a fiver cheaper too: currently £67.99.

The Kingston 480Gb deal was posted here:
hotukdeals.com/dea…421

Note: both the Kingston and Sandisk SSD's in these deals are entry-level SSD's. Performance is not stellar but for regular use these are great.
