Can't see a way of extracting a code to apply for existing customers

OP .. "Can't see a way of extracting a code to apply for existing customers"

I hear that!. :-(

Hopefully someone, somewhere will be able to find/discover the 'key' here, or whatever? (in the meantime, it looks like a new email account for me then?), hehehehe.

Thanx by the way. :-)

From the T&C's: Available to new NOW TV customers joining NOW TV after voting for the National Television Awards only.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!, this again?, coooooool!, hehehe.

This is like at least it's third incarnation in like less than a 12 month cycle?.

From what I recall (from the previous 2 instances of this at least/anyway) is this, the Code that NOWTV will give you on account of voting on the National TV Awards is somewhat 'generic'!!, eg. the Code that they'll give to me on account of doing so, would be the exact same NOWTV Code that they'll give to you too! (on account of the same also!), so ..... lol.

So the veryyy same Code is DEFINITELY 'recyclable'. oO

Bare that in mind ... (_;)

Looks like they removed the extraction of the codes.
They also have expired the codes which were supposed to expire on 31st Jan -> hotukdeals.com/dea…008

They've also clamped down heavily on codes listed on eBay, asking them to remove listings and restrict people's account so is becoming more and more difficult to get cheaper viewing outside of official sources

ok kik

so there is no code this time then? Do we defo have to make a new account?

not in itself a problem - though they do not like you re-using the same card details

you can get round this by buying the throw-away Visa cards you can buy in supermarkets etc, I don't think there are any free ones any more (ie they have a card purchase fee) but if you have a money-off coupon you can usually get away with it

Or you can use the revolut app which is fee free and allows 5 different card numbers

I'm always getting movie and sports codes (from legitimate sources) and sell them on eBay. I had my account restricted this week for 7 days for selling "copyright materials" having been reported by sky. Thing is, none of the paper NOW TV passes say you can't sell them so I do find this unfair but obviously being eBay, there is no appeal process. So I'm left contacting people who have previously bought from me and seeing if they want anymore!

I guess the problem is not the selling of unique codes, eg from a scratch card, but the selling of otherwise free generic promotional codes. Understandable really.

Though sky can't stop people posting the generic ones on here for example so what's the difference in terms of loss of revenue if it comes from here or from eBay

Legally - not sure, but along the line of I can sell my own property (eg a unique scratch card I have bought/been given) but not something that belongs to someone else (a promotional code, free or reduced value)

Morally - people making a profit from a generic code that is free

if you paid money for it, you are entitled in law to sell it

eg people could buy the nowtv box + code for the box alone, not be interested in watching Kids, & sell on the Kids code

nothing wrong with that at all, so Ebay should let you explain yourself as a first resort

nowtv.com/pro…NTA link/Code STILL valid for anyone that's interested ..... :-)
