now tv box and 6 month entertainment pass £15 @ Currys instore

LocalFound 28th Dec 2016
in currys / pc world :-

now tv box with 3 month entertainment pass is £14.73 . At the till when it is scanned it drops to £10 if you buy an additional 3 month entertainment pass on offer for £5 when bought with the box.

you can buy as many passes as you like - each one only costing £5 (bought another 3 myself).

so:

- box on its own with 3 month pass: £14,73

or

- box with 1 additional 3 month pass: £15,00 (6 months all together)

or

- box with 2 additional 3 month passes £20,00 (9 months)

etc.....

was told the offer is running nationwide, but unsure when offer stops.

purchased in Cramlington shop today.

The white box came first, then this black one, then the one with freeview built in.
This one is faster than the white one.
Don't know if the freeview one is any faster than this one

why would you buy the crappy old box when you can get the new one for a couple quid more, with all its improvements?

They were just listing the order that the boxes were released in and never suggested which one anyone should buy.
Remember to add your two free months of films. You can hit cancel straight away on the films and it doesn't cancel the passes. That means you won't get billed for the next lot at full price.

I did, though

you'd be a bit thick to buy the old box unless you want old model, crappy connectivity, no freeview, no freeze or rewind, but otoh 6 months Ents

tbh it's easy enough to sell the box on Ebay for £12 so you might as well buy this dud, keep the pass for yourself and sell the box to some old Gran

There's nothing thick about buying this one.
It gives the same streaming quality for on demand content as the freeview box.
The biggest attraction of the freeview box IMO is HD for all live channels

Someone got very lucky in Asda hotukdeals.com/dea…827
For people who already have ways of watching now TV (chromecast for me), These deals are great for getting cheap passes. 6 months for £15.00 is a bargain, the box that comes with it is merely a by product that could be used if needed. Heat added.
How long do you get to activate the pass? I currently have a 6 month pass that I won't be activating until March, which means it would be September by the time I activate the one from this deal, if I was to purchase.
As it relies on streaming whats the minimum speed of mbs you reckon you need without buffering

Tesco do the Smart box with 2 month movies pass for £23.74 (see link below)

Tesco Link

You can then add an additional two months of Movies using the voucher codes provided by raj75 (see link below)

Voucher Code Link

The 2 month cinema pass that comes with the box won't expire for at least 12 months. So you can stack the two one month voucher codes, then add the 2 month cinema pass that came with the box in a months time (after the first voucher code has expired), to get 4 months of Sky cinema.

Also available on Sainsburys with a choice of passes. Sky Sport, Cinema, Entertainment & Kids passes for £15.
On theses boxes is the pass or codes for the channel's inside the box.

Also do you have to sign up to now TV first. Just wondered as I already have all sky channels but it's not for me.

Sorry for the dumb questions. thanks
I already have 2 6 month passes to be used so don't need any but heat added.
Box with 3 months scanned at £14.24 but also got 3 x 3 months entertainment passes and 6 x 2 month cinema passes at £5 a pass. £59.24 for a years entertainment and cinema. This was from Currys PC World, Newport retail park.
