Ordered, thanks.

Anyone know how the refer friend works?
A new customer can get £20 off £299 but what's the conditions for the referrer? T&C's state £20 reward, doesn't stipulate if £20 off is with no min spend?
Cinema 1 month for £10 Vs 2 months for £9.99 straight from NowTV

Entertainment is 2 months for £10 Vs 2 Months For £7.99 Straight from NowTV.

If you really need a box then I suppose it isn't terrible but most people will either already have a box or have a games console, smart tv, apple tv, chromecast, Roku.

If you already have a box this is a pretty bad deal.
Disagree with the above, boxes sell very easy on ebay for £10, after fees postage you are left with £5+. 1 month cinema or 2 months entertainment becomes £5. I've always done this with Now.
But how much is the box from now TV?
I was looking at getting the £99 for 1 year for both entertainment and cinema but would need to get sth to run it from. It looked like the stick for £14.99 was the cheapest option.
Is this box better than the stick?
Thanks for posting the deal. Is there a time limit for activating the subscription?

Shame the vouchers aren't available at this price without the box. Whilst the box can be resold, it seems quite wasteful overall.
Good deal. Slight OT but lately via wi-fi I get the coloured loading circles spinning but then it bombs out and won't play anything.
I have no such issues playing anything via Chromecast. Any ideas anyone?
Unplug it then plug back in and check wi-fi signal
Presumably these aren't hackable to put plex on anymore?

Mine does this after a while when using wifi but if it's connected via ethernet then it is fine.

Correct.

Nope, none of there stuff is Dev loadable now, they have also removed Plex from there App Store, even if you managed to get hold of an older Box that could be Hacked and Account Free you still cannot do anything with it untill you connect to the Internet, by which time it will update itself to the New Version before you get a chance to do anything with it.
Netflix is coming to these boxes at some point later this year:

Not on these Boxes it wont, any agreement, if and when it happens will be on Skys Satellite and Internet Subscription services, the NowTV will probably introduce a cut down version of Netflix on there newer 1080p ready HDMI Sticks.

These old Black Boxes will be worthless soon, NowTV will be giving them away to get rid of stock, TBH you need to view a Deal like this as your really paying for the Subscription Content rather than the Box with Free Program, and there are better ways of getting that, dont get wrong the NowTV on a PAYG package is good, and if your a First Time user or need a second box then they do offer some value.

I must be going wrong somewhere here, so lets go through this slowly starting with 'Not on these boxes it wont'. Is that an assumption? Or, do you have a link saying different to the article explaining Netflix will be on the NowTV devices?

Its not 'any agreement', as the hyperlink in my post above directs to news of the agreement

Also, its not 'if and when it happens' as according to the article, it's happening.

Also (again), its not only 'Sky Satellite and Internet Subscription', as the article clearly says the Netflix offer extends to its free streaming services, that includes a Netflix app for the NowTV streaming devices (i.e. the hardware). The only caveat would be needing to pay for the Netflix service (that's normal).

To make it even easier, see the snippet from the news article relating to all this below:

The agreement with Netflix also extends to Sky’s contract free streaming services. In the UK and Ireland, Sky will launch Netflix as a standalone app on NOW TV’s family of streaming devices including on the recently launched NOW TV Smart Stick. Sky Ticket in Germany and Austria, and NOW TV in Italy, will launch a standalone app on their devices in due course.

Now maybe this is all wrong, as I have never owned or used a NowTV box, so perhaps its not possible to download apps on them?... but its pretty convincing if you can. I also haven't read anything about sky giving away these boxes (unless its part of a sales offer, or bundle) - please do let me know though, as I would be interested.

The above aside, what is a cut down version of Netflix?

FWIW, I own a Roku 2XS box which is similar hardware to the last gen Now TV boxes.

The Netflix interface is clunky and doesn't allow you to switch users. Same selection of movies though.

Coincidentally, I purchased that exact box 2 weeks ago as I needed an Ethernet port but didn't require the high resolution offering.

Its my first exposure to Netflix so when I asked 'what is a cut down version of Netflix', I genuinely meant it. I see what you mean about the inability to switch users (I personally don't need this).

On newer versions is there a menu bar on the left in Netflix allowing you to select things such as genre?

Those "Spring Sale" offers are for new customers only though.
£15 now...
How long is this offer valid until and can anyone please help. Im new to now TV and would like to know how it works as seriously considering this offer.
I currently have Netflix and only watch things on demand/catch up I don't watch any live TV as have issues with the Ariel connecting to TV and can't get reception.
Netflix is great but I feel like I've exhausted everything on the lol.
I had Amazon prime but was a bit miffed it also showed content you have to pay extra for, I like the ui of Netflix where it just shows you what you can watch - what is the not tv interface like?
I notice it says access to box sets and X "live channels" would I be unable to access these live channels bc I'm not connected via Ariel?
I believe in order to watch now TV I'd need to get a box or stick or something? Which would be an added cost I'd be looking for the cheapest lol which I think would be the stick, is it as simple as plug and play of the Amazon fire stick?
Would be grateful if anyone could halo with the above. Thanks
