Due to rights restrictions, we have to limit the number of devices you can add each month.
You can add up to 6 devices. Once you’ve added your 6 devices, you can make 3 changes to your devices each calendar month.

This means that you might still be unable to add new devices when you're not using your maximum allowance, because one or more of your slots may be blocked. If one of your device slots is blocked it will show you when you can add a device.

Managing your devices To see what devices you have registered and to remove devices, select My Account and then Devices. (If you see the sign in page, enter either your username or email address, and your password.)

Error messages If you try to watch NOW TV on a new device after you’ve added 6 devices, you might get an error 6003 or see a message that looks like one of these (depending on which device you're using):

If you try to watch NOW TV on a new device when you’ve already made your 3 changes this month, you’ll see this message:
16797-axOvu.jpg
You can watch on 2 devices at the same time (or just one if you only have a Sky Sports Mobile Month Pass). If you try to watch NOW TV on another device, you'll see this message:

I wish they could offer at least 1080p on their contents. So washed out on large screens.

Its a pretty BIG deal to those that have more than 4 devices and want to watch subpar 720p and stereo sound, why why did I buy movies etc for twelve months.

They made a promise of 1080p by the end of last year and didn't do it. It's not really acceptable to not deliver on a promise after telling folk it was coming. 720p sports streams running at 25fps is a complete joke.
Good news, although device restrictions was very irritating if you had a smart phone - because if you accidentally selected ‘play’ your phone would automatically become a registered device even if you wanted to simply cast onto a TV. NowTv still way behind Netflix who’ve got the best balance between price; content; intuitive interface and flexibility on devices...

Great news! saves having to online chat to get my limit upped as much!
Cheers...Useful to know
Great to not have to keep removing one of the boxes to add tablet when going away. Shame they didn't up the limit to 3 devices at the same time though, if more people are using it it could be more likely you won't be able to use it when you want, if others beat you to it.
Excellent news, thanks
Great news.. Now I can use the Now sticks on other TV's around the house.. That 4 limit was always a draw back for me..

Good post

I changed swapped one of my boxes on my account last week and was told that I would need to wait a month before making any other changes.

It now says that I can have a total of 6 devices on the account and can 3 swap every month.

- really helpful since I upgraded 3 of my old boxes to the new sticks using the currys 1/2 price trade in deal last week.
Awesome news now I can have my phone as a device as well as my Chromecasts around the house and the set top box.

Yeah, definitely not good. I'll resubscribe if they offer 1080p as promised.
So they are putting their prices up and putting the devices up too.
Great! Now I can watch the same crap week in week out on two more devices!

Heat!
Great post, thanks OP - that limit had been the bane of my NowTV existence - even though I'm single & childless! Maybe I own too many devices? Nah ...
I don't see the logic in this. If you're going to up the allowed devices from 4 to 6, at least up the amount that you can watch on at the same time from 2 to 3??

Subbed on and off with them since 2012, but the prices, retention deals and service, especially lack of 1080p, have got gradually worse to the point where they're just not an attractive option any more. They'll need a trump card once GOT is over
Still only two at a time, so I can't give share my account with more than one friend in case they watch GoT when I want to!
Thanks for info

This is great news, my damn phone takes up a spot to be able to steam to my 2 chromecasts, taking up 3/4 of the slots. Now my family will be able to watch GOT on my account which is good cos I paid over the odds a few weeks ago of £16 for 4 months, and the cost has dropped recently
Lost on Now TV through my Apple TV 4K is looking very good tonight for some reason. I think they may have upped the bitrate at the very least.

Looks all right on Apple TV might be the 4k upscaling

I’ve noticed a definite improvement from last night.

No easy way to definitely tell as my tv will always show 2160p on Apple TV
Good move Nowtv. Very happy
This is so overdue. About time they pulled their fingers out. I remember rejoining them to be told after I’d removed them all....I could only add one a month back on. Spoke to a different agent who reset my account but still annoying!!

Remember this company is a division of Sky and operate in a similar way. They only offer what they need to, in order to keep enough customers. 1080p would be nice but more important is surround sound on the movies. Also worth remembering about the way Sky offer retention deals, Now tv do similar deals.

Utter rubbish.
Now tv looks perfectly ok on my qled.
I never understood that if you were casting to a tv using a chromecast through a tablet that each required a separate slot, using up 2 slots, as you could not use the chromecast separately without the tablet to watch Now TV.

Can you not comment civilly? Some people.
Really good news, I pay and give family members a slot. Yes it means sometimes I can’t get on with two other freeloaders logged on but it doesn’t happen too often. The restrictive 4 devices causes more issues than more than 2 at a time.

To be able to watch sky sports, movies, entertainment all over the country for less than £30 a month and free for all them is brilliant.
Sky X (Sky without a dish) will soon be released in Austria (with 1080p streams), and will at the same time replace the Austrian version of Now TV (Sky Ticket).
When Sky X is inevitably released in the UK I doubt it will replace Now TV in the short term, however Sky X having 1080p streams will probably be used as one of the selling points to encourage users to upgrade from Now TV to Sky X.
Therefore I doubt that Now TV will ever get an upgrade from 720p to 1080p streams.
Entertainment content isn't worth the money itself, nevermind the technical drawbacks. When my current sub lapses post GoT that will be it for Sky of any sort.
Excellent post ontheqt, this is long overdue. Heat added.
Wow. Only yesterday I stuck a now box in my parents and had to deactivate one to get it on.

Could have done with it then, but still.

Isn't Sky X going to replace sky with a dish? If not, what's the point of it?
The moment they implement 1080p I'm moving from my Sky £40 package to a Nowtv £8 package. Wait..... I wonder why they are slow doing this upgrade...
