Great deal. Also worth mentioning that the new Smart Stick should be out at the end of this month, £20 with a two month Entertainment pass:

No. The newer Smart version has a Freeview tuner so if you use that you need a license.
Sorted a Movie one. :-)

I'm Old Skool when it comes to such things, lol.

As I prefer the Boxes myself. :-D

But saying that, it's good to know that fancy alternatives exists too nonetheless?. :-)
Thank you for posting just picked one up x

The stick is better of only because it can be powered from a USB socket on the TV rather than requiring a mains power supply.
How does the smart box compare to the now tv app that came on my samsung tv?

edit: Also can I purchase multiple of these @ 10 to use/save?

Heat added. Collecting movie one tomorrow. Time to catch up with all the Marvel films I've missed. Happy days.
ordered one for the bedroom. Loving these deals as bought one last week for the other bedroom... paid £8 this time using Tesco voucher..
I ordered a Now TV Box with a 2 month entertainment pass and a sky store voucher for £10 off eBay a few weeks ago. The best thing was, I ordered one and the guy sent me two! So, I basically got 2 Now TV Boxes, 2 entertainment passes and 2 sky store vouchers for a tenner! I did try and post the deal on Hukd, but it got took off unfortunately.
HOT HOT HOT! Just ordered one, had £3 voucher too so £7 in total! Ta for posting!
Do you have to use the one month cinema right away or could you save it for months later
Do you need to plug it into the tv aerial? If WiFi I would get at this price..

It’s better for me since I can place it behind my wall mounted tv and not need to have an awkward box just sitting on top for the IR receiver.

Also the stick is 'smart', I don't think this one is?
If go with movies personally. Decent selection but they stream in stereo and not Dolby! Not really a fan of sky tv although there's some good stuff on Sky Atlantic if you've never had it before

You should be okay to save it... but bear in mind the voucher codes with these things are generally only good for a year after they were produced so, depending on how long Tesco have had them sitting around, it may not be valid for long! That said, if you do get one that has already expired, you could always ask 'NOW TV' to honour it for you... if you're lucky, they'll sort it for you on live chat, but (worst case scenario) they might get you to sort it out with the retailer you bought it from.

That's not necessarily true in all cases... as performance can vary from one TV to the next. If your television is not capable of meeting the power requirements at any given time via it's USB port (which can vary with processor tasks of the stick, etc.), then you will have to use the (supplied) power adapter plugged into the mains anyway. From my experience of other Roku sticks, this isn't necessarily a bad thing because, if you rely on USB for power, you have to wait for the stick to boot-up every time you want to use it... whereas, when you use the (supplied) power adapter plugged into the mains, it is always ready to go (like the boxes) and you can start streaming more quickly!

That depends on how you intend to make use of it... if you want to use 'BBC iPlayer', or make use of the 'Watch Live' option(s) with whatever NOW TV pass(es) you buy, then you will need a TV licence. If you don't get a licence, and use any of those features, then you risk a fine (or worse) and may get hassled about not having one so, for the sake of forty pence per day or whatever it works out as, it might be worth paying the fee anyway!?! Personally, for all the radio, telly and internet services they provide... I think the licence fee is worth 40p per day and, if they don't get money from somewhere, how else is 'The Beeb' supposed to compete with other broadcasters for content!?!

Indeed, but that's why I said "can", the option is there. I'll definitely swap mine out for a stick, the remote for the normal box is hopeless unless it's aimed with precision at the box itself.

Except that if you have a TV with a USB port that's not capable of meeting the requirements, then the stick "can't" be powered via the USB port... in which case your saying it "can" is redundant / wrong and the option is not there for those people - hence my previous comment. The WiFi direct remote versus IR remote is another matter altogether but, from my experience of the WiFi Direct remote(s) on my Roku device(s) it's definitely an improvement over IR!

Thanks
Ordered two thanx
As Vegans hate meat i hate the BBC, i also hate Vegans as they are stringy fibrous and get stuck in my teath.
The stick will be an advantage for people with wall mounted tv's,and as someone has already mentioned as its powered through the usb port it free's up a plug socket ( 1 less on the extention lead is a start ).
Great deal but opted for 1 with a months sports pass on eBay for £22.99

Really not sure what you're arguing with me for; the Smart Stick can be powered via USB. It doesn't have to be, for TVs that aren't capable of providing enough power via USB, there'll be a power adapter.
