I certainly wouldn't buy a China Android box if I wanted to use it for any of the services this supports in a user-friendly way. The intended audience for this box is somewhat different from those looking to use dodgy internet streams.

Also, I recently tried to use the vouchers I had got from boxes and they didn't work - they purposely expire them early and refuse to give a replacement code when you complain. It's a scam.

4k netflix and amazon... booo
Just in case anyone is interested, you can buy multiple boxes and keep adding the passes to one account. The boxes can then be sold on eBay for £20-£25. I’ve got something like 20 passes on my account waiting to be used - very handy for getting cheap access to sports like F1.

YouTube too. I imagine BBC iPlayer in future if not already, given it's Roku hardware.
These people still demand a credit/debit card despite buying instore?
The 4K is more about Amazon and Netflix, BBC iPlayer in 1080p and 4K in the future .
If you grab a weeks sports pass for £1.79 like what’s was posted the other day , then 720p is still a bargain at that price for all them sports channels for a week . I have 4 to use !

The Now TV app doesn't work on my Android TV box...

Try downloading the APK of NOW tv. Shud work.
Thanks for posting @Spicyhotnot we have added this to today's Highlights
Tried it once, couldn't stand it, like some weird cross between normal TV and a DVD.
Actually just to point out, this isn't even a Roku box so the 4K part of it isn't even Amazon seeing as Amazon isn't available to Now TV devices full stop.

Lack of 4k content on NowTV is a proper let down.

Probably because Sky want to avoid people who subscribe to their ridiculously overpriced 4k sky Q offering jumping ship.

I thought this wasn't possible anymore on the new boxes?
Only 1 day of Sports. Rip off

Really does make you ask then “what’s the point of them launching a 4K streamer if their own services won’t achieve that!

Because it makes sense for people using Now TV as a primary service not to buy and use two independent devices for Netflix 4K/YouTube 4K/future iPlayer 4K/renting&buying 4K films.

What do you mean? Sorry to be a pain could you elaborate?
Voted hot cause i think its still a good amount of content for the price but I'd love to know how they get away with saying "with 4k" and only streaming in 720!

I know what is being said about netflix, etc being 4k, but it's clearly worded to avoid false advertising claims whilst still being misleading!

I have noticed though it's not live often the sports is like 10-15 seconds behind. Has anyone noticed this ? The live channels on TV are a bit ahead.

Sure. You go through the process of setting up each box, and when it comes to logging in or setting up a Now TV account, just use the same account. The 4 passes on each box will be added to your Now TV account but don’t have to be used straight away - you can activate each pass as and when you want. Just make sure to cancel a movie / entertainment / kids pass as soon as it’s been activated because otherwise when it expires you’ll be charged the normal monthly fee.
MR112319/07/2019 22:32

You go through the process of setting up the box and the 4 passes get added to your account. The passes sit in your account and you can choose when you want to use them.

I am very confused by what you have done. I have been with Now TV for many years and have never been able to stack vouchers. I get no option to stack vouchers - only allows me to add one voucher when the current one is in last 30 days. Every time I try to enter a voucher it also never works (scam) and I have to deal with the Gestapo on live chat lol. They do everything possible to not give me a working code including demanding copies of receipts for the boxes - they used to demand serial numbers but now when I offer those they are no longer enough. I bought loads of boxes, ebayed them and couldn't use the codes - they purposely expire them all. There are no expiry dates mentioned anywhere and what they are doing is illegal. Also, in addition to boxes, I bought the sticks before and the vouchers on these wouldn't stack either and others confirmed the same. Was a total PITA. I was also talking to their customer services just a few days ago about this very topic.

I think you’re using old boxes that come with physical passes - presumably they’re no longer valid. The newer Now TV sticks and boxes have the passes loaded onto the boxes themselves - you don’t get physical passes any more. I think they’ve done this to stop people selling the passes

You can indeed, though I can't see the relevance to a comparison of a Now TV box and a Chinese Android box.

If you're meaning to suggest Fire TV as an alternative Android box that is both user friendly and can do dodgy internet streams, the Now TV service doesn't work on Fire TV. Either way, the intended audience of a Now TV box isn't for those wanting to use dodgy streams.

Forget 4K... The NowTV service tops out at 720p.

If you want to watch content at a better resolution, you'll need to add a Netflix subscription to that box.
