Now tv smart boxes with either 2 months movies pass or 3 months entertainment pass for £22.50 at Asda Tamworth. Looks like to be National. Tesco did have them at £20 but have been sold out all week. Bargin

Currently £20 in Sainsburys, possibly £10 using nectar points double up.

Stupid question, is it possible to have both cinema & entertainment if purchasing 2 passes?

No smart boxes in Worcester

Typical braindead pricing from Asda. It's £20 everywhere so lets make ours £22.50.

Yes. And you don't even have to activate them on the same day. So you could for example start the entertaiment pass and then days or weeks later start the movie pass.

How much better are these boxes versus the standard ones that are around £10-£15 now? I've only just got the standard ones for kids TV's and they are great. Is it the ability to pause and rewind on these ones?

I'm sure Google could help but HUKD folk are way better informed plus it may help other folk here too?

Thanks

Yes these smart ones have pause / rewind.
1080p, Freeview HD (via aerial).
I find the interface slicker, too.

Note. An aerial is not required for the box to be operational, you can still use all the streaming apps such as Now TV, iPlayer, ITV etc.

Got one yesterday from Currys, really good box but very noisy, so not ideal in the bedroom

yep, when it's been on for a bit, the fan noise is loud and runs very hot, common apparently for these boxes
