If you already have a device that fulfils the purpose then you don't need it. Seems fairly simple to me.

Tesco don’t have them with the 2 month entertainment package and the 3 month kids pack one is oos.
argos have both the entertainment and movie packages.
does anyone know if these are any good?
I’m a big fan of NOW tv but I find the box is quite clunky to use

I doubt it. The boxes are often around this price, but this is the new stick.
It's a shame the voice control does not change the channel over and the stick gets very hot after a few hours.

You don't if you already have a Chromecast so it's just another option for those that don't.

Mine does
Reserved at Argos with the entertainment package. Can't wait to say goodbye to the box! Mine is currently double side taped to the side of my wall-mounted TV as there's no where else for it to go. This going to look so much neater.

The stick is not the only thing that heats up when adult channels are on but anouther problem has risen with it and low power pops up every now and again. May have to connect it to power socket but I got it to free up power plugs.

Hmm, as other's have mentioned, 2 things I have observed; 1, the stick does get hot after very little use and 2, voice command isn't really optimised yet. Hopefully both rectifiable with updates? I'm sticking with the HD box atm.

Heat for the deal OP, but I suspect this will be the normal price

Because there isn't a stick in exstence that covers all the bases. NowTV isn't availlable on most, and definitely not on the firestick.
This may seem like an easy answered question after posting BUT, if you have a box with a active pass which doesnt run out too soon can you somehow transfer it onto the stick ?.I might give live chat this question sometime later.
You should be able to use existing pass as long as you use the same logon for both devices. I think you are allowed 4 devices

Have you got it connected to a USB socket to power it? If not it needs to be if you are not using power plug.

The Roku Streaming Stick+ covers all bases, but it isn't cheap.

Passes aren't associated with a box or stick; they are associated with an account. So simply log into your existing account on your Now TV stick and your pass will still be just as available on the stick as it was on the box. The device limit for Now TV is 4 devices. You can watch 2 devices at the same time. So if you wanted to use your old box on another TV with the same pass, you still can!
Is there any free Sky content included i.e. do you gain access to any channels (without paying) that you wouldn't through Fire TV or Roku etc?

No Sly freebies, if they allowed even Sky2 streaming as it might intice people to sign up to bundles, even make its own Now channel, but no this is Sky....

The Roku Streaming Stick+ covers all bases, but it isn't cheap.

While it's technically more of a (very small) set-top box form factor, than that of an HDMI "stick" type device, the Roku Express has a tiny "footprint" (so it's very discreet) and covers most of the same channels (apps) as the Roku Streaming Stick+ does... but for a significantly cheaper price of just £29 - including an HDMI cable!

So, if you want a single device that has NOW TV + Amazon (Prime) Video + Netflix + BBC iPlayer + ITV Hub + All4 + My5 + TVPlayer + UKTV Play + Plex and *lots* more besides (i.e. 4,600+ apps in total) then I'd recommend choosing the Roku Express over *any* NOW TV-branded device... all of which (including this new Smart TV Stick) have the same limited app store (with just 51 apps) and no way to install apps for / stream content from other major services, like Netflix, or Amazon Video, etc.

It won't power-off your telly but, with the *FREE* mobile app from Roku, you can do voice search (like NOW TV Smart Stick) using the Roku app on your iOS / Android mobile device [available at: roku.com/en-gb/mobile-app] so, even at ten quid more than these NOW TV Stick bundles, it's worth the extra for the convenience of having (almost) "everything" on one unit - imo, anyway!
Shame NOWTV are still 720p!
