I was after a couple of day passes and now get a new NOW TV for free.. Cheers
good spot op. i would have jumped at this for plex, however apparently if you can only sideload as in the case of the now tv boxes, you are stuck with the older version because they wont open source the new version (and its the only way you can get it to sideload). its a bit of a shame

Do you mean the old version of Plex? I read that you can still side load on the new boxes.

Have a hoke around your local Tesco for the promo Pringles. Buy two tubes and get one pass, they were £1 each last week too. I don't even like Pringles but £2 pass!

Sorry, should have been clearer, yes you are stuck with the older version of plex (or classic as they seems to call it) as they wont open source the new version of plex. You may be perfectly happy with that, but you will miss the newer interface, secure connections etc.

Phew - thought so.

I like the old interface so that's fine with me, bought a new black one for my kids bedroom and hadn't got round to trying plex on it yet, got the white ones working though, even at my parent-in-laws house.
Best time to activate your pass is on a Saturday night if there are 2 games kicking off at 1.30 and 4pm on the Sunday then you can nearly catch 3 games for your money! Oh and flog your spare box making your pass even cheaper!
These day passes still seem like very poor value for money to me.

I just renewed my Sky Sports TV App for £4.99, all the sports channels for the whole month. It's the iPhone App which I find perfectly watchable on the iPad at x2 screen size, and can use on two devices so that's me and my dad sorted for the month effectively £2.50 each. (Not so good on android, very limited devices wise, etc).

Nice find. Ordered and heat added. Could anyone kindly explain a little about this business with plex? I have Plex on my laptop and phone and although I like it don't use it so much, would it be easier and more quickly accessible if "side loaded" on to the Now Box - is that essentially the major benefit? Cheers.
Thank you
Can you use a scart on this for an old tv?

The nowtv box would put plex on a non-smart TV. If you had an ethernet feed that would be a major benefit over the wifi.

I wouldn't say its quicker or more accessible though.
Hot find, nice one!

i agree. I can't believe people keep buying the sports day passes. then again, if you only watch 4 football games a month, it's only £20 per month this way
