I have been a NowTV customer forever, and through McDonalds Monopoly, Snatch, and a bunch of other stunts of mine I rarely actually have to pay for it.
I know there have been posts about cancelling your NowTV passes, saying it is too expensive and a lot of the time they will offer you a discount for a few months. I did this successfully with movies.
Anyway, it doesn't always work and they just say "Sorry to see you go" then you face the shame of the big friendly un-cancel button.
I had just tried this stunt for NowTV kids and got no offer.
Then I checked an email I had received a few days back and it said something along the lines of "we noticed your pass is almost expired and we want you to continue to enjoy the Kids TV" - it said I could get 3 months for 1 by clicking a link.
The link itself actually didn't work properly (but In the text was what looked like a NowTV pass code). I copied that to the clipboard, logged into the NowTV website and slapped that code in - voila! three months at 1.33 per month.
The lesson I learned from this is to actually bother to read my emails from NowTV as I nearly sailed right past this.
