I wanted the same deal from Argos but no local stock and my local John Lewis is a trek, also a C&C fee.

Cheapest I could find but sure it has been cheaper in the past. And free delivery was a winner for me.

Despite the addition of a tv aerial socket and moderate (c. 30 mins) live-pause capabilities, I wouldn't say these were "great" devices as they suffer from the same massively limited selection of only fifty Roku apps in the NOW TV 'App Store' as earlier incarnations of these boxes.

You're better off getting a genuine Roku device which, thanks to the recently launched Roku app from TVPlayer, allows you to watch live TV (of the Freeview variety) with only an internet connection - no TV aerial necessary - and you still get everything on NOW TV boxes apart from Sky Box Office (which is a bit hit & miss anyway) plus almost 4,000 other apps in the Roku Channel Store to choose from.

The NOW TV Smart Box doesn't even have an RF OUT socket, so you can loop through your TV aerial and continue using the tuner in your TV which (as in my case) usually includes a built-in EPG that offers a far better programme guide than this does. Add to that the vastly increased footprint versus earlier NOW TV Box models (as well as Roku devices) plus the recent action by NOW TV to disable Roku Developer Mode and prevent the sideloading of additional Roku apps and I really can't see the appeal - even at this price - imho those shopping for a streaming device should consider putting the thirty quid towards the purchase of a proper Roku player, rather than this.

Just sayin...;)

fair enough but, we had an old tv in the bedroom that had a poor program guide so this was good for us. I don't want or need 4000 apps. we had a now tv box there already and this was a good replacement. we can watch live tv or get catch up as well as the odd movie now and again. so for people like myself this box is great.
also, just sayin.;)
