Pretty annoying that you only get deals with sticks or boxes. I have all I need and just want passes but the best deals are with the hardware.

Surely there must be a better saving option on wanting passes without the sticks?

Guess it's sticking to eBay and Amazon passes for much less than this deal. Just a bit of work each month finding them.

Thing is, the harder they make it to find deals honestly, the more I look at things like kodi where they'll get no money whatsoever.

Don't have one. But I don't see any reason why it wouldn't

No, it'll be fine - depending on your current subscription status, it'll either get added on or stacked to redeem at a later date of your choosing.
Just a heads up usually I'd say this isn't that good a deal what with BF days away but I went on live chat today and was told they are not doing any year long deals for BF, despite the fact that they used to offer the Movies/Entertainment year package the guy said the year deals 'are too limited and don't allow people to get the most out of NOWTV and all it has to offer' so basically yeah the most we're going to be getting this year are the 1/2 month offers, absolute load of

Cheers for that! I was waiting for the year passes!
nice deal
Potential 12 months movies and 9 months entertainment for £93.96
I've posted details in the discussion link below if it helps anyone.
hotukdeals.com/dis…308
I have also checked with Sky and the £99 Now cinema and entertainment package is not available this year, so as mentioned above get the 12 months cinema and entertainment packages from Argos for £11.66 p/m instead of £8.25 p/m which is only a £3.41 extra.

We still have the boxes which seem OK. Bit slow, but OK. Is this stick any upgrade at all?

Totally agree. I got the 1 year kids pass last year but now there’s only a 1 month pass with entertainment and cinema which I don’t need. Very disappointing!

Also, @robatt & @Digitaleclipse ...

During the last month (i.e. 30 days or fewer) of your current pass/offer expiring, threaten to cancel via your NowTV online account & you could be offered discount passes for 3 months at least. By doing this recently, I got Entertainment for £1.60/month for 3 months & Cinema for £2.40/month for 3 months.

Good idea. And I've tried that but never been offered a sensible deal, so leave and setup new account in wife's name instead, using introductory offers. Etc., etc.,..And then buy box after box after stick ad infinitum it seems.

It's an odd business model. Give a teaser rate and then be expected to accept at least a 100% hike to levels above Prime and Netflix for content that in our case is limited in appeal. Thank heavens I don't watch Sport. Eye watering subscription. Perhaps Sky is trying to make a killing from those who cba to look around for offers.

Prime and Netflix use the much more effective, but insidious, salami technique for price rises. And I carry on subscribing. Methinks they will outlast Sky/Now.

I guess it may come down to what you consider a sensible offer. In the past on Cinema, I've been offered £20 for 3 months (i.e. 6.66/month for 3 months), which I've accepted because couldn't find a better deal anywhere else via eBay, buying new boxes/sticks.or other websites that sell cheaper passes.

Hi all finally had the chat transcript through from NOWTV, not sure why it took so long, this was their response when I asked why they weren't doing any 12 month deals, I'll let you make up your own minds:

( 40m 5s ) Vaibhavi: Whenever we review our pricing, we work hard to make sure that we are offering customers the best value for their money. Our Black Friday promotions offer further discounts across a range of our Passes so that more customers can experience and enjoy the flexibility and range of content that NOW TV has to offer.

This year we don't have 12 months deal, As we continue to invest in more and more amazing content across all our Passes, we wanted to give customers the opportunity to experience as much of it as possible.

Unfortunately, we’re not able to do this with long term offers. But, with these short term deals, customers are able to take on multiple NOW TV Passes at a lower cost meaning they can watch a wider range of great content. All at a great price.

If anyone wants free Entertainment passes please see my deal below:

Indeed and hardly an eco friendly solution too.
Just bought one. No 6 month pass in the box only a voucher for £3-50 to rent a movie. Anyone else had this problem or is the 6 month entertainment deal live when you start using the stick? Always had vouchers in the past in the box.
I'd like to know the answer to this too as I've bought one as a Christmas present so won't know if it's worked until next year

I am just with Argos chat now... let you know what happens
Panic over. The voucher is pre-loaded onto the stick. So when you start the install it it gives you a code that you put into your account to assign the stcik and all is good. So just have your account logged in and open on the page it says and you'll get the 6 months added.
Yes preloaded , u can contact now tv customer service directly who can give u the code as well
Hi sorry if this has been asked but just wanted to check does anyone know how long the preloaded passes on the sticks are valid for? I have ordered a few of the 3 month and 6 month sticks but as I still have a couple months left on my current passes and will see what cancelation offers I get between the sticks (hoping to net the Entertainment for £1.60 for a couple months etc. then use the second stick inbetween) it may be a year+ till I use the last stick? Hope this makes sense

They should have at least 12 months but generally from date of creation 18 months. You can contact now tv give device serial number and they be able to tell you expire date of passes that's preloaded on them

You have to put the stick in your tv and log in to your account, the pass can then be added to your account and you can remove the stick from the tv and continue watching however you did before
Quick update I stand corrected, despite the fact 3 reps and a manager confirmed that there would be no 12 month deals this year for new or existing customers (one of them actually said they wouldn't be doing them ever again) would you believe it they are now doing 12 month deals. Credit to @xp3200 for posting the deal: hotukdeals.com/dea…402

Annoyingly I now have several sticks that I might potentially return but that's life, a small part of me would like to believe that they bought the deal back as a result of so many people asking where the 12 month deals are/complaining about it, so on the off chance it was go peer pressure!

Thanks for the update. They still haven’t released the kids pass for over 1 month though.
Not bad deal Smart stick with voice search and 6 months entertainment for £30 (working out at £5 per month). Also if you have enough now tv sticks/now tv boxes you can trade them in at CEX (or similar store). On the CEX website it gives a £8 to £10 CEX voucher for a smart stick (depending upon whether the stick is a type A,B,C) or £5-7 cash. I traded in a couple of Now tv black boxes a couple of months ago and got a £4 CEX voucher for each one.
Sure these where £10 last year
