Npower switch with Quidco £40 cash back and free home energy monitor

Not sure this is risky to post but helped me out. Using Quidco I got a £40 cashback and saved a bit for switching. Martin Lewis said the online battle is on for switching so now is a good time. When I logged into the website they are also offering a free home energy monitor which looks pretty neat. Electronic type gadget (pretty lights - I cant help it) but if it can save money then YES PLEASE.

I am relatively new to tis so go easy if you dont like switch offers.......

"I was paying £100 pcm and they reckon £82"

Never go on what you pay a month as its not accurate, you could be underpaying or overpaying.

Always use you annual consumption in Kwh to give an acurate figure

thanks for the advice, totally agree. I have edited post to make me look a little less stupid :-(

I think Scottish power is £110 cashback thru Quidco for switching gas + elec.
Id prefer the extra cash to the monitor with winter coming up.

Yep, i have just taken advantage of the Scottish Power cash back through quidco. Used my annual consumption and by swapping from EDF to Scottish Power my monthly debit will be £11 cheaper plus the cash back.

Npower were the cheapest supplier for me but the £110 cashback from Scottish Power clawed that back.

You will need every penny if you switch to or from these cowboys, been there and got the badge.

+2.

Will never use Npower again even if they work out the cheapest of the big 6.

Was with them for 2 years, when I one day found all my statements I found that Npower for the year 07/08 had charged me well over the 4572Kwh per annum at the higher rate than they should of.
Then I find out that unlike other suppliers Npower charge more units at the higher rate during the winters months when you use more gas, so you will always have a high winter bill unlike other companies who simply spread it throughout the year.

After I left them and some 6 months later I got a cheque in the post for £80, but they never admitted over charging just a simple cheque in the post with their T&Cs attached.

If you want to find out more check out Moneysaving expert energy forums and look for Npower gas sculpting

I would rather sit in the cold and dark than go back to Npower,a dreadful company to deal with.
