Support Newcastle. I'd worry that for every abramovic there would be an Ellis Short a Randy Lerner, Vincent Tan or a Cellino. Remember Michael Knighton at Old Trafford? Lucky escape for Man U. He couldn't make a success at Carlisle. Been to San Siro, nou camp and De kuip in the champions league and would love it again but nothing beats getting promoted at Grimsby under the floodlights.... Midweek. Fond memories.

If you truly support NUFC then don't go as its the only way to get rid of … If you truly support NUFC then don't go as its the only way to get rid of Ashley who has zero intentions of selling NUFC. Mike Ashley is lining his pockets whilst running the club in a disgraceful manner in the cheapest way possible, with no ambition to do anything other than stay up so he can continue lining his pockets and use the club as one ugly advertisement for Sports Direct. Plenty of supporters are packing their tickets in which is why the club is getting desperate and offering these deals.

"Why would Mike Ashley care if your not there the man gets paid as soon as the doors open ..he could be standing there in St James Park on his own and it would not affect the money he makes or change the way he runs things..".If you truly support NUFC then dont go"... I have never heard so much tosh..As a child and into my teens the Gallowgate Stand of St James Park is where i witnessed people from all walks of life ...shout...chant...cheer and cry together and come back and do it all again the week after regardless of score.if they played bad 1 week the fans would shout clap whistle twice as loud the week after...Dads couldnt wait to take their boys to see the Toon even when we played in Division 2...and Division 1. If you truly support NUFC you would be there making sure the team know ur behind them regardless of owner....!!

i managed to fulfill a dream of my sons to have his own season ticket...so u boycott mate at least he be surrounded by fans and not bandwagon bandits who are showing support by not coming !!

due to the reason above, here's a game that was less than half full at an … due to the reason above, here's a game that was less than half full at an official figure of "20,577". What loyalty!

So - you haven't noticed other teams getting crowds of half or less their PL gates in League Cup or Europa League Cup games ? It was also noted on perhaps the night of the picture above, that an attendance of 20,000 or so was the TOP attendance that night of the League Cup games !!!
ALL teams get gates like this. Even Man U with people coming from all over the British Isles to support them, get lower gates for unimportant League Cup Games
So you've searched and searched for ONE game like that ? And you don't think that's a bit pathetic ?
But Newcastle get that all the time.
Nobody else.
Now what is YOUR reason for you having this obsession against a team nowhere near your team (who'd be as far from Manchester as YOU ?) X)

A 50,000 average attendance is excellent for a club finishing 16th in the … A 50,000 average attendance is excellent for a club finishing 16th in the premier league, as is still getting more through the gate than a team like Man City. To claim otherwise just comes across as pouty. No Newcastle fans came in here saying "best fans in the world".

It's funny. Rival fans like the idiot above are the ones who bleat this. Newcastle fans are accused of many things that OTHER clubs fans do.
Ive heard this best fans in world thing from Liverpool fans, Man U fans, Everton fans, Leeds fans and Spurs fans, even.
Ive NEVER heard it from Newcastle only rival fans ranting it.
Newcastle fans have been sneered at and are apparently the "only fans who take their tops off at matches" (I've seen most clubs fans do it) Once a Newcastle fan bubbled at a match apparently this means we all do it, and we are the ONLY ones doing it - Ive seen Liverpools fans do it Ive seen Man Yoo fans do it when Cantona retired FFS ! Disappointment (and Christalmighty we've had nothing but) will affect some like that. BUT the media hate Newcastle fans for some reason (I'd love you to point out any doing the opposite - in return I point out Mick Dennis (Norwich fan) of the Express, or Bill Barkley (Everton fan) who are constantly attacking team, fans and even the bloody CITY. This mysterious love of the press for us is just non-existent.
I recall a Sheff Wed fan on TV saying that he'd went to a Newcastle v Sheff Wed match and there was only 7,000 there in 85. He was believed....no effort to check. The attendance was capacity at the time 37.500 (Leazes end still not built) I know - I was there.

But no other club gets this spite.
Funniest of all is they rant "You're not a big club" but they can't stop talking about and ranting against us - probably more than against Man UI !!! X)
Maybe their obsession proves the OPPOSITE of what they claim. Its like a spurned lover saying they HATE the one who spurned them !!!

Edited by: "PhilK" 29th Nov 2013

According to a large section of your support and the media.

Now, seeing as you're hiding your own team, (usual act of someone like you) I can just pass another occasion when a picture was shown "as proof" - it was a game against Oxford in the old Div 1 just after the last but one relegation. Mid 80s I think. The Leazes end was almost empty, it was the area at the time where the rival fans were put in. But just before the start of the game, with virtually NO Oxford fans there, it was given over to Newcastle fans. But only a handful knew about it.
BUT someone took a picture, and THAT was used in the same petulant moronic petty way you are using the above.

So you're a NON-Manchester Man Yoo fan ? LOL

But the funniest of all is the monumentally moronic "Geordies buy tickets and don't turn up" idiocy. I mean - that is the stupidest comment Ive heard since an Aston Villa fan during the unbelievable, hysterical celebration of Newcastle's relegation in 2009 said Newcastle fans "deserved relegation because so many turned up despite no trophies"
And I wonder just how much YOU would support your team without trophies, chuckles.

...they buy tickets and don't turn up....I mean......X) X) X)
Edited by: "PhilK" 29th Nov 2013

To be fair, there's nothing wrong with wanting Moyes out. He's an idiot.

I don't know in what sense Newcastle are punching above their weight. In … I don't know in what sense Newcastle are punching above their weight. In the UK, you're probably in the top 5 or 6 most supported clubs.

In the sense that we've always out-performed teams in similar circumstances. In the sense that we've been in the second tier we've had better gates than many in the top flight, that we set a championship attendance record and were the fourth best supported team in the country while playnig the likes of Doncaster, that we had the third highest gates in the country last season in spite of ending in a relegation scrap, that we're the tenth biggest gate in Europe last season in spite of being served up pretty dire football (Although I'm sure I'll hear there's no one-club cities in Europe, nay, the world, either and that anything under 90,000 is terrible for Newcastle in their unique and privileged position), that we have one of the biggest away followings despite the cost to our fans being more than any other club in the country, that most of our fan base comes from our local area, rather than from people who've abandoned their local team in favour of a franchise club like Man U or Liverpool. It's not too hard to see why Newcastle fans are looked on favourably, the club wasn't just drawn out of a hat for it. And that's why there's all this bitterness whenever it's mentioned. And moronic comments like the one called out in the top post of this thread.

A 50,000 average attendance is excellent for a club finishing 16th in the premier league, as is still getting more through the gate than a team like Man City. To claim otherwise just comes across as pouty.

No Newcastle fans came in here saying "best fans in the world". Ill-informed opinions about attendances and Newcastle fans were brought up by mouthbreathers like somekindofwonderful and yourself. As someone who's recently seen Man U fans portrayed as so arrogant and entitled that they want Moyes out as soon as it looks like he won't immediately win the league or get in the champions league based on the kind of people who like talking to cameras outside the ground or call up 606 to shout in angry Irish accents, I would have thought you'd be wary of judging a fanbase based on what you see on TV.

U18s tickets available without being a member. Seperate members' deal also included in each link though - those are for the adult tickets.

Personally I couldn't give a monkeys who is sponsoring the club, I just want the team to go out and give 4127%.

The deal is actually incorrect.

They let under 18s in for a fiver yes. However it takes the form of a Wonga Loan which means that for the West Brom game if you pay at the end of November it costs you £37.46 but according to Mike Ashley at least a fiver of that will go to the club (the other £32.46 will be a contribution to his fund to buy out JJB Sports).

You couldn't make up what goes on in the name of Newcastle United but fat Mike's not paying 4000% on their debts.
