I'm after 2 ticketS to see NUFC. Can anyone please help? Preferably not too far from the pitch. I've always wanted to go see St James park.

Shame, I genuinely feel for NUFC fans, mainly because of the memories of great games in the past (the 4-3 when Keegan was your manager being the main one). It just feels like you could be a massive club but Ashley is choking you so much.

Nope cos most of us refuse to buy a season ticket. The ones who are going are the ones claiming free season tickets. It’s now being widely reported he needs to fill empty gaps for advertising SD or its relaunch as Frasers.

Couldn't all the fans who want him out claim the free season tickets and so make more empty seats?

Puma V-Konstrukt III SG Football Boots £18.99 delivered at nufcdirect
First ever post so please be gentle! This seems like a good price for some top of the range Puma Football boots- some with £136 reduction. Sizes are limited though.

I love sports direct. The more money I give to Mike Ashley the more misery I impose on Newcastle fans XD Good price for these, heat

Hot for the price of the boots

Very old stock but very good boots. The RRP shown was correct at the time. Had both so can recommend. He's obviously bought Puma's old stock warehouse!

Feels like I'd be stealing from him on this occasion but won't take the risk. (y) Not sure which Mike is more of a t*** ... Ashley or O'Leary. It's a close call

Correct, Lovell Sports is a subsidiary of SD. Barringtons would be a surprise but nothing actually surprises me with him anymore (lol)

Thank you, its a genuine issue that the on the ball campaign is trying to help with, it's just good that places, high profile places like Newcastle United are on board.

Maybe not the absolute best place to offer such freebies but a small step in the right direction. Jees people will moan for moaning sake.

No I mean people going there for that specific reason.

Should keep them as goal keepers. Stop any bleeding c**t!!! (lol) (lol) (lol) (lol)

In my experience someone will just take it all anyway. I just feel like it's implemented in the wrong areas. If a woman can afford a football ticket surely sanitary wear isn't an issue. It should be accessible to those who need it... Schools, universities, doctors surgeries, train stations, public toilets, asda (like they do with nappies) but unfortunately there will always be those them who go and take it all and leave nothing for those who need it.

Its a fact that when Newcastle went down to the Championship the average Championship attendance rocketed, interest from abroad increased dramatically - and the stinking media can deny all they like - interest in UK increased too. Championship became the 3rd best supported league. Likes of BBC keep mentioning this, but NEVER mention Newcastle's input for that. It hadn't been prior. Average gates in Prem dropped significantly too when Newcastle weren't in it. Sunderland too are a miss.

I think its an agreement with the home side. We do it for you, you do it for us arrangement. Thing is, some KNOW we take a huge following and they themselves DON'T (refusal to do so happened a lot in Championship - only odd few like Leeds did if I recall correct agreed)

Actually, most of us think it's ridiculous, as are many of their other idiot ideas One such was shouting at the shop then arriving 11 minutes late (can't recall why) annoying other fans and then ranting at their fellow fans in forums and blogs and Twitter when the rest (the other 95%) asks "what the **** do think think that achieves ???"

Fair play for selling these at a decent price. Not sure if it’s Newcastle subsidising them or what Blackburn have set them at but they’ll end up selling out the allocation I suspect.

Amanda Staveley. She met Ashley's asking price but he didn't like some of the T&C's. The full price wouldn't be paid if they were regulated or if a big fine is imposed by HMRC after they investigated some suspect transactions. One offer was even higher than his asking price if they qualified for the Champions league. It's a shame because she (PCP) did commit to invest some £200 million in the club. There is a rumour that she is still interested but I'm guessing she looking at clubs like Leeds as a better prospect. She is from Yorkshire. I don't know how much Ashley has invested into the club but he only paid £135 million for it. So it sounds like he won't sell it unless he makes a big profit and he doesn't seem to care if a new owner is going to invest in the club or not.

Making me take him. :D 6-0 value for money for the neutrals. :) 2-1 Liverpool too... I joked that it will be a Liverpool vs Newcastle final.

Support Newcastle. I'd worry that for every abramovic there would be an Ellis Short a Randy Lerner, Vincent Tan or a Cellino. Remember Michael Knighton at Old Trafford? Lucky escape for Man U. He couldn't make a success at Carlisle. Been to San Siro, nou camp and De kuip in the champions league and would love it again but nothing beats getting promoted at Grimsby under the floodlights.... Midweek. Fond memories.

Don't know what team you support, but I assume from your post that if some Russian/ Chinese/ Arab investor came along with a zillion pounds to propel them to the Champions League every year........... you'd say no ? It's sad but true, that the days of Derby, Forest etc are gone - Leicester was just a blip - be thankful you don't live in parts of Eastern Europe where mafia money decides the game.

So - you haven't noticed other teams getting crowds of half or less their PL gates in League Cup or Europa League Cup games ? It was also noted on perhaps the night of the picture above, that an attendance of 20,000 or so was the TOP attendance that night of the League Cup games !!! ALL teams get gates like this. Even Man U with people coming from all over the British Isles to support them, get lower gates for unimportant League Cup Games So you've searched and searched for ONE game like that ? And you don't think that's a bit pathetic ? But Newcastle get that all the time. Nobody else. Now what is YOUR reason for you having this obsession against a team nowhere near your team (who'd be as far from Manchester as YOU ?) X)

It's funny. Rival fans like the idiot above are the ones who bleat this. Newcastle fans are accused of many things that OTHER clubs fans do. Ive heard this best fans in world thing from Liverpool fans, Man U fans, Everton fans, Leeds fans and Spurs fans, even. Ive NEVER heard it from Newcastle only rival fans ranting it. Newcastle fans have been sneered at and are apparently the "only fans who take their tops off at matches" (I've seen most clubs fans do it) Once a Newcastle fan bubbled at a match apparently this means we all do it, and we are the ONLY ones doing it - Ive seen Liverpools fans do it Ive seen Man Yoo fans do it when Cantona retired FFS ! Disappointment (and Christalmighty we've had nothing but) will affect some like that. BUT the media hate Newcastle fans for some reason (I'd love you to point out any doing the opposite - in return I point out Mick Dennis (Norwich fan) of the Express, or Bill Barkley (Everton fan) who are constantly attacking team, fans and even the bloody CITY. This mysterious love of the press for us is just non-existent. I recall a Sheff Wed fan on TV saying that he'd went to a Newcastle v Sheff Wed match and there was only 7,000 there in 85. He was effort to check. The attendance was capacity at the time 37.500 (Leazes end still not built) I know - I was there. But no other club gets this spite. Funniest of all is they rant "You're not a big club" but they can't stop talking about and ranting against us - probably more than against Man UI !!! X) Maybe their obsession proves the OPPOSITE of what they claim. Its like a spurned lover saying they HATE the one who spurned them !!! ;) :p

Now, seeing as you're hiding your own team, (usual act of someone like you) I can just pass another occasion when a picture was shown "as proof" - it was a game against Oxford in the old Div 1 just after the last but one relegation. Mid 80s I think. The Leazes end was almost empty, it was the area at the time where the rival fans were put in. But just before the start of the game, with virtually NO Oxford fans there, it was given over to Newcastle fans. But only a handful knew about it. BUT someone took a picture, and THAT was used in the same petulant moronic petty way you are using the above. So you're a NON-Manchester Man Yoo fan ? LOL But the funniest of all is the monumentally moronic "Geordies buy tickets and don't turn up" idiocy. I mean - that is the stupidest comment Ive heard since an Aston Villa fan during the unbelievable, hysterical celebration of Newcastle's relegation in 2009 said Newcastle fans "deserved relegation because so many turned up despite no trophies" And I wonder just how much YOU would support your team without trophies, chuckles. ...they buy tickets and don't turn up....I mean......X) X) X)

To be fair, there's nothing wrong with wanting Moyes out. He's an idiot.

In the sense that we've always out-performed teams in similar circumstances. In the sense that we've been in the second tier we've had better gates than many in the top flight, that we set a championship attendance record and were the fourth best supported team in the country while playnig the likes of Doncaster, that we had the third highest gates in the country last season in spite of ending in a relegation scrap, that we're the tenth biggest gate in Europe last season in spite of being served up pretty dire football (Although I'm sure I'll hear there's no one-club cities in Europe, nay, the world, either and that anything under 90,000 is terrible for Newcastle in their unique and privileged position), that we have one of the biggest away followings despite the cost to our fans being more than any other club in the country, that most of our fan base comes from our local area, rather than from people who've abandoned their local team in favour of a franchise club like Man U or Liverpool. It's not too hard to see why Newcastle fans are looked on favourably, the club wasn't just drawn out of a hat for it. And that's why there's all this bitterness whenever it's mentioned. And moronic comments like the one called out in the top post of this thread. A 50,000 average attendance is excellent for a club finishing 16th in the premier league, as is still getting more through the gate than a team like Man City. To claim otherwise just comes across as pouty. No Newcastle fans came in here saying "best fans in the world". Ill-informed opinions about attendances and Newcastle fans were brought up by mouthbreathers like somekindofwonderful and yourself. As someone who's recently seen Man U fans portrayed as so arrogant and entitled that they want Moyes out as soon as it looks like he won't immediately win the league or get in the champions league based on the kind of people who like talking to cameras outside the ground or call up 606 to shout in angry Irish accents, I would have thought you'd be wary of judging a fanbase based on what you see on TV.

Most live in gateshead, like Newcastle players do. Some posh estate. The few of our lot that do live in Newcastle are right to. It's a far better city. But thankfully they're smart enough to rent flats, keep off street level for when the locals decide to smash the place up again ;)

Exactly. The majority of us are realists. Go a bit further up the road and the delusion is so rife that it becomes hard to breathe at times. On the plus side, they provide the nation with comedy gold year after year. Apart from "disabled" people punching horses, though. That's just cruel.
