The one on Henry website isn't the HVR 160-11 although don't ask me what's the difference!

Really after one of these. is there a difference between red and blue? I'm pulling up floorboards and want to get all the rubble and crap builders leave underneath.

I love these, when my last one died got a shark. That was a total waste of money, never buying shark again.
    I've now got a Dyson v15.
But Henry is definitely my favourite.

    AHH,

Good shout. Ordered on Sunday so that must have been the last day.

Also, I've just got home and found it upside down in a drenched box as the DPD driver apparently has no understanding of rain.

    It its the same- 160-11

Probably a dumb question but here goes anyway. Are these any good for using as dust extraction when hooked up to a circular saw/jig saw/sander etc

Honestly couldn't tell you, but I hope so as I will be using it for that when I get the money to do the house up!

I would suggest getting a vacuum which can be used with or without a filter bag and with a bypass motor (a wet and dry).

You can tap the pleated paper cylinder filters to shake the dust out of them so they last for yonks, and some have pleated plastic filters which don't need to be swapped out in wet mode and can also be washed out.

Bypass motors have a separate cooling fan, which means it wont overheat quickly if it is blocked or if the airflow is restricted as it might be when attached to a power tool. Dust wont be passed through the motor if the bag / filter is ripped. Also means you could use it to power a homemade vacuum table or vacuum chuck if you wanted.

Downsides: bypass motors are noisier and a little less efficient, but there's no EU restrictions on motor wattage so you can get much more powerful models.

You can also get ones with a socket on the vacuum for low wattage tools like sanders, which activates the vacuum while the tool is running and shuts it off ~30 seconds after the tool stops, my last one also had a button to blast the dust back out of the filter.
