Thriller starring Jim Carrey. Walter Sparrow (Carrey) is a middle-aged dogcatcher whose wife Agatha (Madsen) has bestowed him with an obscure mystery novel detailing the investigation launched by a tough-talking gumshoe named Fingerling (also Carrey) whose every move seems to be overshadowed by the number 23. After noting a series of alarming parallels shared between the fictional detective and himself, Walter is quickly drawn in to the story. His mind fast descending into a dark and violent whirlwind of madness, Walter enlists the aid of Agatha and the pair's adolescent son Robin (Logan Lerman) in seeking out the author of the mysterious tome and uncovering the sinister truth behind the enigma.

You may not like the film (I personally haven't seen it yet, so I can't comment on that) but it is a very good price for a new release dvd.

Mine's due to arrive from Lovefilm tomorrow - my colleague said it was worth a watch...

Agreed, pretty dire film. Best price though.

Rented it and switched off part way through thought it was rubbish, pity I like Jim Carrey

Why buy when you can rent and save yourself £4?

Made a major mistake and watched this film in Leicester Square when I was in London for 4 nights. Absolute sleep inducing material. Rent it from Lovefilm or someone, watch the first 10 minutes, send it back the next day.

very strange film - rented it and thought it was stupid

On the other hand, why pay £3 for rental when lovefilm is free! :giggle:

Ain't that great and a rather predictable ending....no doubt it'll go below £5 before long so I'd suggest waiting until then.

biggest pile of pants ive ever watched in my life! however if its your kinda movie then its a good price:-D

Hate to agree with everyone but I watched this film a few days ago and thought it was dreadful.

Acting and direction etc. was fine, but the story was very, very silly, and I saw the twist coming a mile off....
Even for someone who may enjoy it, I guarantee they won't want to watch it again, so definately not worth buying when you could rent it for less...

I switched off after about 20 minutes of sheer dullness.
Items are only a bargain if they are value, and this DVD isn't! I wouldn't pay 50p for it!

£6.96? 6+9+6=23!!!

I might wait till its on Sky!

Cex offer £6 cash or £7 exchange at the mo, so it's either a quid (OK, 96p...possibly less quidco) to watch & get the rest back if it's that bad or a mighty 4p profit if you take the exchange value....

i've already bought this dvd, i paid just under a tenner and i actually think it is a very good movie....
