Lol thought it was only me that did that comes in handy when you got loads round for drinks

Believe they are 200g. The 450g package are 1.49 at Waitrose, 1.50 Tesco, so Poundland is rather expensive.

Sorry cold cheaper pg else where

400g £1.98 at tesco and waitrose, £2.25 asda, sains etc.

This will always be £1 at poundland whereas the supermarkets have to have it on offer to be cheaper or as good value.

worth 20p if that

And the plastic lid covers cat food tins well (probably other tins too) lasts a lot longer than the ones you buy for pet food!

Cold it's b and m

Nutella Nutella ooh you rhyme with fella, but I've never wanted to lick one of those ever. I'm not sure where I'm going with this. I do like Nutella though.

RIP NUTELLA

this is an extra small container made to sell for a pound it is not a bargain they always have it

Must try the Nutella glass thing. Although I've just bought the 1kg jar... Hoping it lasts more than a week

Keep the jar make nice glasses

They don't normally have it. Up until recently it's been 180g in a plastic jar.

Better than actual glasses!

Was £1.59 for 400g in my co-op today, and in general there have been offers on that size surrounding pancake day as hotdealseeker said. I'd say a £1 for 200g is the standard price and not really a deal.

Banned

I've had the Same jar for years, I only seem to use it on pancake day!

Can't beat it on a pancake though

glad you put the price up there no one would of known how much poundland are selling this for otherwise

Hmm, just to be factually accurate:
1) Tesco did have it on promotion for £1.50 for a 400g bottle. Online it is back to the 'normal' £1.98; however, you can still find it in-store for £1.50 until the Pancake Day overstocks last (examples from today: Tesco Express in Highgate and Metro in Stroud Green).
2) Whilst I agree that the supermarket chains only promote temporarily, Poundland &co. do not always stock this permanently either. Hence availability could be an issue.

So it is still equally good value in the supermarkets for the 400g bottle. But I do admit, it is quite haaard to drink from the 400g bottle... ;-)

Bottom line: from a value for money perspective this is a not a 'big deal' IMHO. But the home 'recyclability' of the 200g glass is a bonus.

But you don't get a re-useable tumbler glass with the supermarket ones.:p

Need to be careful with Poundland,99p etc.
Some of their stuff (such as the aforementioned Nutella) are specifically made by the manufacturers for Poundland,so the sizes are normally smaller than the standard ones you get elsewhere.
Eg.These re-useable glass Nutellas seem to be only available at Poundland.
Not such a 'bargain' after all.:|

Thanks for the feedback and the ones who felt the need to add a bit of sarcasm. Not everything is a pound in the poundshop btw and the rules state include the price which i did. Im glad if anyone found this deal useful and thanks to all of you who stated the facts without bitching. People take time to share these deals so being nasty and sarcastic really isnt needed.

These are not extra small either unless your an extra large person.

Asda have the same one (glass jar with plastic top, 200g) for £1.35 so this is good deal at £1.
