I bought the blender (after an extensive research) for 79 GBP which already seemed like a good value. I am very happy with it (except for the fact that I paid 10 GBP more than whoever buys it today!), it blends whatever I throw at it and is much better than my previous machine. Similar in performance to Vitamix, according to reviews, only much cheaper (the biggest downside is the shorter guarantee).

Hot. I paid £87 for it but would have been happy to pay more. I've used it for a year now and am highly impressed with it. (Don't forget the ear defenders though)
Is it easy/possible to get covers for these so the sound is muted?

Never knew such a thing existed, got me thinking now...... TBH the noise is only a problem when I'm on early shift. Making my frozen fruit/protein smoothie at 4am sometimes disturbs my senior domestic manager (AKA Wife) upstairs

I do not think so. I do not mind the sound, I only use it during the day anyway as I never feel the need to blend after 11 pm or before 8 am. I am not a parent though, not sure how well children handle the sound.
Must be good as it's got the world proven "Total Crushing Technology (TM)"
Cheers Niobe. I have an older version that has been great. Replacement cups are £20, so I thought for another£50 why not.
Man! Missed it again and this has been the best price!

Price gone up now. Think it needs to be expired! Unless someone magically tells me I've missed something
How come it's dropped in price so much on Amazon? Other retailers seem to note £80/£90 as a normal RRP

Just out of interest, how come you need a replacement cup? I was just thinking that it has 1 cup too many, I either use a smaller of the cups or the jug, the other cup sits in my cupboard.

The version I had came with a 650ml and a 500ml. The 500ml is too small and don't use it much

The 650ml cup has got pretty tatty over time.

I'll be honest the feature to make a load of cocktails at once swung it
