Which company do you work for that lets you upgrade their PC hardware?

Awesome, thanks op.

is this capable if any gaming performance ? not according to this benchmark: videocardbenchmark.net/gpu…610

good value for a home PC or work PC but not for anything that involves games beyond a point and click or indie title. :-)

Colder than frosty the snowman!

Good job fitting a r9 290X in a n54l joking aside it's good for steam streaming from my main PC.

put one in the other day and works ok for kids pc, playing minecraft and road blocks online and old pc games.

bought the same one from Currys a few days ago for £14.99
(just needed dual monitor support for a work PC)

Thanks, its a cheap upgrade for me from NVIDIA NVS 295 DUAL HEAD 256MB.

These cards have their use for upgrading work PC's to step up to a double/triple screen setup.

I got it for dual screen support for my work PC (work in IT) and is doing its job nicely for £29.99 or £4.19 what do you realistically expect?

If your knocking up a low cost Web browser or htpc then just go with an apu build unless you already have a Cpu and motherboard in which case this is an option.

Also handy to have as backup.

Will this play Far Cry?

But seriously, this would be a cheap way to turn my HP MicroServer into an HTPC. Heat!

The HDMI port lends itself to a media server if i'm honest going to look for another and build one over xmas

I purchased one of these in Curry's Newtonabbey, In Northern Ireland on Friday 19th. It was for a customers work PC to support dual monitors, and I got it at this price also. I thought it was a one-off mistake. Apparently not.

He did say to improve his "WORK " PC so at that price a good choice depending on what model work PC he has. Heat from me. Why does everyone think that most people with a PC use it for gaming and media? Some of us do work LOL....

Just got one in the glasgow Jamaica St branch. Not a fantastic card but for a general upgrade of the home pc it's ok

i would've thought intel iris graphics are better now but alright

That is so cheap when you think about what you get, crazy stuff, I grew up with Atari 8 bit systems, and this level of technology at this price just wasn't possible & not even a pipe dream. This card will upgrade a basic system to a level where multimedia is possible, reasonably sophisticated gaming software is possible, and a fully functional work environment can be constructed for a variety of tasks. Less than a fiver, mental :-)

cold the receipt says £4.91 not £4.19 :P

cheap as chips really

Terrible card, but can't argue with <£5 price and there are enough old systems with Intel integrated graphics that this'll be an upgrade for - hot!

Was this reduced you said?

The only time GPU's like this are ever of any use to anybody are for people who have really, REALLY old computers that somehow have a spare PCIE slot and want something that will give them the ability to use multiple monitors or use a monitor that doesn't have VGA input (although if you're going to buy this, you're not going to get a high end 4k displayport/hdmi only monitor, you're going to get something that probably has VGA or DVI anyway)

Low end junk like this is absolutely useless for any kind of gaming or putting in any new computer because even on low end products nowadays the onboard stuff is usually equally as capable performance wise or just as well equipped for outputs.

This is a great card for games of 1980
That's all!

Is this an upgrade over an onboard Nvidia 4400?

Thanks guys

Scanning at £29.99 in Salisbury!
