10% faster than a 1080 Ti which was this price two and a half years ago. What a bargain.
Quite ironic really that the cheapest 2070/2080 Super cards are the Nvidia ones. They usually come with a premium price tag over the third party cards.

Also heard that Nvidia keep the best binned GPUs for themselves, not sure if that is true here or not.

I'm gonna go with more teenagers playing Call of Duty then getting laid nowadays. Unless they're practising unsafe sharing of controllers.
Buy this to play Borderlands 3 at high 1080p :0

Yes, but it has RTX don't you know. That feature everyone's apparently dying to have but just didn't know it.

I guess this is what happens when Nvidia's only competition up there is Nvidia...

I agree it looks like garbage, reminds me of the first Rage game

To make matters slightly worse, this launched at £669 back in July.
Hahahahahahahaha.........oh Nvida, you always give me a good laugh.
These have retailed higher than expected for less performance than expected. That doesn't make much sense. They could've easily topped the 1060/... popularity if they actually tried.

Further, the correlation between the Nvidia's share price (which cliffed) and the RTX launch hitherto now... it's a bit too obvious. It's surprising they haven't changed their 'MSRPs' across the range; prices should've been closer to GTX.

Either the RTX gen has cost way too much to develop and manufacture or they're just greedy.

Just pray you don't have to RMA the card like I've just had to the customer service is diabolical!

Don't buy them nvidia cards for a while they need to get reasonable with their pricing. That's not a deal it's a steal from your pockets.

I heard both AMD and Nvidia produced loads of cards two years ago because they thought the mining craze would continue. So they have a lot of last gen cards to sell and as such they can't price their new gen any lower till those stocks are depleted. It might be quite a long while...

Makes sense. The mining craze was one big parasite on the industry.

When I did my last build I was pretty bitter over it. For a while I was on the look out for card at a reasonable price so as to use it was it was intended for - to humbly play some videogames.

Instead, a lot of places were out of stock due to miners sniping any good deals. You'd know full well those cards would go to those who wouldn't be gaming but would be using, abusing and reselling them possibly at a profit with an insane 'mileage' accrued.

In the end I picked up an Inno3D 1060 if I remember correctly - a third-party brand that focuses on value... yet these cards were still reaching the reference 1060 launch price of £240+. Other brand 1060 cards were eclipsing £300 and the launch price was already insane prior to the mining frenzy thanks to the old dollars equal pounds.

I'm hoping by the time -TX 3000 series roll out this crazy pricing will get a little bit closer to what a high-end card cost in 2015.

Have you met today's youth?

You haven't, I guess. The most 'snowflake' people I've met are old people offended about the easily offended youth they've imagined up.

So many more people have tattoos, piercings, travel, interact with people of different sexualities and persuasions, create videos, share stories than ever before. But they are boring because... You read that in the daily mail or something? You're boring mate.

Never said those things hadn't been done. Just that's it's being done more. And there are more things being done. People being more creative, more inclusive, more experimental.

What incredibly exciting thing was it that you do that young people should be doing so that they can stop upsetting you?

Eat brain force?
So doing what others have done is being creative seriously you have to be kidding me fella

What are they creating exactly? Vlogs and Blogs, streaming playing video games? Posting pictures of food! It's all so superficial

Not saying that all young people are the same of course they're not, but if you can't see the me me me self obsession and damage that social media has helped create then your blind as well as stupid

When the Kardashians and the like have so much influence on your life.. You've lost it

Didn't say that either.

Me me me isn't new. All through the day, I me my I me my I me my. People being self involved isn't a new phenomenon.

I agree, if you buy the car because James bond drove it, perhaps there more of your critical thinking for you to unlock. But that isn't new either.

Also not new, old people moaning about young people.

Under review (not public)

see for all your right on ness you stereotype 'old people' always moaning about young people which kind of blows your 'inclusivity' message out of the water doesn't it.

Everyone is self involved to a point its human nature but anyone can see the extreme levels and the damage it inflicts especially on young people that Social Media is directly responsible for, constantly checking their phones for meaningless likes, cyber bullying ..levels of anxiety and Mental health issues are at an all time high in young people yet they grasp onto this nonsense like their lives depend on it.
Many have grown up in a time when this has always been the norm and it is damaging their already fragile self esteem and the lack of resilience to REAL LIFE problems is frightening in many young people…….

I know many people who work in schools and colleges and they say that the ability to think critically in young people has greatly diminished in recent years ...essays they hand in are more likely to be a regurgitation of books they have read rather than original thought, one small rejection throws them into a tailspin totally out of proportion with the actual issue.

TBH the funniest thing you said was about Tattoos an Piercings as if sticking something in your skin or painting some indelible picture on your body somehow in itself makes you more interesting LOL if you are a bore in reality you just become a tattooed and pierced one

here is something that always makes me chuckle.....seeing 20 Goths all dressed the same expressing their INDIVIDUALITY!

they might as well be in school uniform

I shudder to think what all these lot would do if some REAL catastrophe hit the country they'd be utterly lost, tattoos, piercings, manbuns and all...………...in fact if the internet stopped working for a week most would be in therapy!

I wrote a reply but it had a naughty word. In brief, do you want be that guy standing on the side lines yelling names at people? or do you want to be someone who offers encouragement and support? Do you need those likes here so you post a buzzword like 'snowflake'? Or could you post something helpful and forget whether or not the other Sun readers give you their approval. All the best mate.

k bye
on reflection I posted loads of examples of my argument which you failed to challenge or rebut in any meaningful way and for all the inclusive messages and nonsense you stereotyped me without having any clue as to my actual age , occupation background, culture and life experience ...I quoted facts and genuine observations ...could you be anymore of a hypocrite to 'label' me a sun reader.….never have been or the Daily Mail for that matter and I would consider my overall politics left of centre and then complain about the term 'snowflake'

I think your feeble attempts at debate and descent into the behaviour you claim to abhor only proves my original point
