Back in stock at BT Shop. You have to use the specific link (which is from their newsletter) to get this price, which includes a £20 discount. If you just go on their website it is listed at £169.99.

Delivery is £3.49 but you should be able to cover that with 2% Quidco.

Looks like currently only in stock at nvidia (£169.99), Amazon (£169.99) and Scan (£179.99), so this is cheapest around. Apparently they go out of stock quickly and evidently Amazon have decided to increase their price rather than sell it at their usual price of £149.99.

Cheers OP, just ordered, hoping the quality (esp wi-fi) will be a lot better than the Lenovo tab I had to send back (only had that as no stock of the K1's about at the time), also this should update to MM, the Lenovo was stuck on horrible Lollipop

I'm trying to gamble on any announcement on Tuesday

Best tablet for the money hands down, though they never seem to have enough to go around.
Don't forget you need a 2amp charger and micro usb cable to charge it.
The flip cover is worth the money too...

nope...they figure most people already have a charger. So the whole thing is cheaper because of it.

I know but Tuesday is the day Google is announcing new hardware. Hopefully a Pixel C 7" to replace the Nexus 7 2013.

You haven't got a clue what you are talking about, this IS the best Android tablet you can buy at the moment. Period.

Looks nice but a bit misleading, pic with it playing the Talos Principle - I'd guess it couldn't run that game and it's streaming it ?

This tablet + GeForce experience + Shield controller equals to one awesome gaming setup. Game streaming from PC (or cloud servers) is totally awesome feature..

Sent mine back after seeing what the battery life was like. Just don't play videos on it

xperia z3 tablet is superior. This is still very good though. Used both extensively.

It's well documented unfortunately

If your gonna buy a Android tablet this year you might aswell buy the most up to date in hardware and software tablet while in great price which is the Samsung Tab A 10.
Up to date specs and 14nm processor etc superb battery life consumption and great performance.

The Nvidia shield hardware etc is 2 years old and its battery consumption is terrible, very poor battery life especially which many users complained about in Nvidia forums etc

And you clearly don't know what your talking about except fanboying out like a true shill I had a Nvidia tablet before and returned it because of its absolutely terrible battery and had many bugs and glitches and gets hot quick. It was rubbish even in 2014.

If you frequent the Nvidia forums or other tech forums about the Nvidia tablet you will see many complaints.

IPad is king in tablet department no doubt about that everyone knows this. But for phone its debateable. Also your asking in a android biased thread now so not the place to ask

can't say this is a deal I paid this for mine just after it was released.
still runs smooth

Talos Principle is available for Android; official support for the NVIDIA Shield TV, NVIDIA Shield Tablet and Google Nexus 9. (though I imagine it can be made to work on others too)

Wasn't it released in 2015?

This is obviously different to the one you had then, as it came out last year.

Nope, nVidia have released Marshmallow for it.

no it runs it but not as well as a pc obviously

Ok, there's a few mad statements in here so hopefully this helps clear things up. I've got two of these (one for each of my boys):
1. It runs marshmallow and it's a straightforward over the air update to get it
2. They're very fast tablets with great battery life
3. They have the ability to connect to Geoforce Now which gives you access to a load of console/PC level games with you streaming from the tablet (free for 3 months then I think £7.50 a month)
4. To get the best out of that you really need a controller (Xbox like) which are damn expensive (£35 off eBay, £50 from Nvidia)
5. They are quite hefty; this is no Galaxy Tab S....it feels like a very solid chunky tablet...moreso if you put it in a front/back case.
6. The Nvidia case (front protection only) is pretty classy and hooks in via magnet.
7. Wifi range is great: never had any problems
8. Hooks up to the telly via mini HDMI cable, and it's pretty impressive thinking you've got a totally portable console you can play two player games on the go with. I do steal them when staying away with work :-)
9. They run kodi like a champ...and things like Showbox and Mobdro. I regularly hook one of ours up to the TV to have a movie night with the family.
10. There were problems with a previous incarnation of this: but from personal experience they're fixed.

I got one of these when they were cheap on Amazon last time, tbh I'm very disappointed with it.

1.. Battery life is terrible compared to my nexus or iPad mini

2.. Yes overall performance is good but since the marshmallow update I find the tablet locks up a lot and stops responding.

3.. They are way heavier than any other tablet making it far less comfortable to hold for prolonged periods of time.

Spoken like a true fan boy, you must be one of the few who actually has a tablet that works

Sadly there are many who do not.

I owned one of these tablets.

General wear n tear is poor.

Game stream very inconsistent.

Nvidia lie,,,, promise to bring out games then don't.

Let's not forget the half life scandal.

It's not the best tablet you can buy.

Head over to the shield forums and the game stream forums to help you decide if you want to purchase.

Listen to this guy , the Sony z3 is an excellent tablet.

Don't listen to the deluded fan boy. Saying how awesome the shield is it's not!

Also if you want to game stream from your nvidia graphics card you don't need a shield device.

You can do it using the moonlight app on iOS or android . Works better than the nvidia gamestream app.
