Introducing The Sentry LXE, a high performance external fan controller with an intuitive touch screen. Its unique patent-pending PCI card interface desktop design allows effortless control without having to reach underneath the desk to configure the settings. Some of the additional advanced features include touch screen capability, 5 channel fan control and temperature detect, time and date display, temperature alarm, and screen on/of functions.

Key Features:

Intuitive Touch Screen LCD – Advanced, touch screen LCD displays temperatures in C/F, RPMs, along with the date, time, and day of the week. Users have the ability to switch the display off for complete darkness for more immersive gaming sessions

Complete Control – 5 Temperature Probes keep tabs on thermals throughout the case while the 5 Fan controllers adjust the fans’ RPM speed for at least 10W per channel. Allows users to automatically adjust the fan speeds to correspond to a specific temperature, manually customize for extreme overclocking capabilities, or set to absolute silence

Temperature Alarm – Instant notification if temperatures rise above a designated point

Sleek Design – Brushed aluminum frame provides sleek aesthetics for any desktop.

Rechargeable Battery – The Sentry LXE features a rechargeable battery for up to 500 times, keeping the LXE life time longer without the hassle of replacing batteries constantly.

Using a NZXT developed PCI board and external touch display, the LXE allows for more 5.25" bays freed up for other peripherals.environment. Simply set the fan controller atop your PC or desktop and connect through PCI card interface.

This will look great on any boring PC case or desk :-)

I've got the non touch screen version installed in my PC and it works great. It means I run my fans at 500rpm 99% of the time, and the PC is near silent with temps around 30-35C

Great bit of kit, especially combined with water cooling as in my PC.

Touch screen version looks even cooler

What's sad about this?

You clearly know nothing about hi end modified computers. When people have high end custom built machines, nine times out of ten they are rammed with bundles of fans to cool hardware, such as hard drives, high end graphics cards, CPU and RAM among other things.

This device allows a user to have some form of control over how them fans operate, especially as not all computer fans have their own variable control line connected directly to the motherboard which means they run full speed 100% of the time.

Having a machines fans running 100% of the time is normally over kill and a waste of electric and very noisy, especially when you're just logged in to your computer to use MS Office, or watch a film or other simple tasks that are not hardware or heat intensive.

So if anyone can afford one of these or something similar I'd say buy one. I have the internal version of this and it works wicked, I've had no problems at all.

IMHO lack of knowledge and understanding is just one of the things that I would define as sad, do you understand what I'm saying?

I posted this for only reason:
First great looking monitoring display which can completely change any simple boring PC case.
Imagine having this on the top of your case or even better - on your desk.
So if anybody find it cheaper or any better just PLEASE let us know. THANKS

Interesting piece of kit. Overkill for me as I use Speedfan and a fanmate and don’t have a power guzzling PC so it’s easy to cool in silence.
Do they make a PCIe version as well?
