Very good price but imo its an insult that network companies are plugging 5G when they don't actually have it

I know what you mean. I can't even get decent Vodafone 4g at my home address! Seriously thinking of jumping to o2.
Anyone from East London feedback what their data speeds are like?
about time they are giving reasonable data allowances

I got a Voxi sim which works on the Vodafone network to test the network speed because I was thinking of dumping Virgin cable. I wasted a tenner. I'm getting between 1.15 Mbps and 4.42 Mbps down and 0.41 Mbps and 3.45 Mbps up. Much better speeds of about 30 Mbps down on Sky (O2) mobile.
Edit: I live in East London.

Glad to hear it's not just me then. Not sure what they have done but I was with them for 4 years from 2014 and signal/data speeds were fab.
I was with Virgin (who use EE) before getting this Vodafone unlimited everything and they were really good. I was getting 50-75mb with Virgin. Shame they didn't offer me anything decent on renewal :/

you must live somewhere in London? i get great signal in Essex.
Just wish the networks would do away with all these cashback stuff and give the public a cheaper rate rather then going through cashback and not getting it sometimes.

I've just finished a webchat with Voxi support and was told that "the area is still under maintenance and our technical team is working on it. It will get resolved max by 9th February".
So within six days it might get better.

Vodafone have been promising me things will improve since Oct :/
Managed to get £5 off my bill for remaining contract and 1 month paid. Also they agreed to I can cancel anytime without any penalty fee

🤪 Oh probably one of the most privileged, am well happy for you!
Daft question, aren't 5G speeds meant to be around 1GBs?

30 quid still goes from your bank each month tho

Lol, not sure about privileged. But 5G is pretty prevalent. Thanks for being happy for me using a service though.

There is no such thing as a daft question. 5G can be up to 1Gig. And beyond. Depends on many many many factors though. One of them being a ball hair from the transmitter. More importantly is, its quite common but still "quiet".

Again, need o2 - great deal.

Some people got the £10 Unlimited everything for 24 months with Three, I bet they're not complaining about the data speeds.

Ordered. Fingers crossed I get a decent signal so I can ditch Vodafone. 5months has been plenty of time to give them a chance to sort themselves out
Hi all,
Just received my o2 sim and data speeds look good. I'm getting around 50-65mb download and between 1.5-7mb speeds

Hi mate, without revealing too much info... Where abouts in East London did you get this speed on o2? Because I'm in the same boat, since 5g launched Vodafone's 4g has been terrible.

Hi, I'm in Leyton. Yes definitely since the whole 5g nonsense their service has gone down the pan.
So I rang them up yesterday to get my PAC code and now they can't see any notes when the customer rep promised they won't charge me any cancellation fee . Really not impressed! They also charged for the the sim replacement and signal booster when they said they wouldn't so had to chase them up for a refund.
Hi,
Can we use the 100gb via mobile hotspot or it s an extra ?

I thought it was personal hotspot was included? Anyone able to confirm?
Does cashback work with upgrading from an existing contract? Anyone know or done it?
Can’t see this deal anymore. 5G one not to be seen ?
