This thread is why I rarely post on this site. If you can find a better O2 deal then, sure, criticise. However, talking about a different network is a bit like posting in a PS4 deal that you’ve found a better Xbox One deal! Fundamentally they are the same thing but specifically they are not.

I understand your personal point about wanting to get off the Three …I understand your personal point about wanting to get off the Three network. But your argument that paying £10 per month for the possibility of 8 gigabits of data as opposed to paying £10 a month to have 30 gigabytes of data does not hold water. Plus the smarty contracts are monthly contracts so one is not indebted for long periods.

Clearly you don't as what is the point of having 30gb of data if you can't use it even it is only a 1 month contract. Some people are lucky and get to choose what network they want for people like me I don't have a choice. So O2 doing 8gb for £10 a month is a good deal cause I use all of that 8gb.

Plus, the contract is rolling monthly. For unlimited everything you could go for their £20 per month plan, again on a rolling monthly basis.

Aye, but like my original post mentions “if you’re looking to join O2”. Personally I am looking to get off the 3 network because it isn’t that good for me. Also, not everyone wants or needs loads of data. The amount of people on high data tariffs that don’t use most of their allowance, the networks must be laughing all the way to the bank!

Poor Network. Awful data speeds.

Could say that about any network in some part of the country

Depends on your geography. For me, I am moving back to O2 from 3 due to poor signal issues. O2 & Vodafone have the best signals in my area. Everywhere is different though.
100GB is £20 for those who need more data

Brilliant deal for o2, who are best in our area. Wish I could get this now but would incur early termination charges...

Long shot, but does anyone know if wifi calling works on O2 with a Mi Max 3?

The point is that you get 3 times more data for the same price

Then why not post it as a deal? Considering you’ve never actually posted one on here...

Any way to get this if already with O2? (Asking for a friend)

I have just got Three contract for the same price but O2 reception is much better in my area

And?
Can Anyone recommend a Vodafone deal?
Can only get decent coverage with Vodafone in me home
I just got a contract for 4gb for £11, I know it’s not great but I wanted to add the Apple Watch and don’t use a ton of data. Anyway, I could cancel as I’m within the 14 days but wonder if they would just match this deal and save me the hassle? £1 is £1.

Go on VOXI, 20gb for £15 a month, no contract. unlimited social media data and runs on vodafone.

His point was, what's the point of getting 3x the data when you can't use it due to poor coverage. This is for O2. You're comparing apples to oranges.

I said that I understood his or her point about leaving 3. But for others who have no gripe with 3's coverage, the 02 deal isn't brilliant. That''s what I'm driving at. I'm not comparing apples to oranges, I am comparing data, phone calls and texts. For the sake of clarity I am not comparing demographics. I am comparing costs.
Nex10/01/2020 20:19

And?

And so consequently there is more value in the Smarty offering as long, of course, as the area you need to use it in enables you to do so!

But these are the same thing, they are data, phone calls and texts. I'm not critising, merely pointing out that there is more to be had for the same amount of money. I did say that I understood the op's desire to leave three, and I do.
