Is that £9.99 per month? sorry, i don't understand how dongles work, lol

For PAYG, and for dongles with preloaded data, 1GB & 2GB, it would be £19.99 for 1GB, and minus £10 for the 2GB

please change your avatar, it makes me wanna puke!

I got one of these, never used it!

nice

Has been £10 for the past 6 months over the phone - Call upgrades or retentions and can always get it at this price with free delivery.

I have a full 3.5G HSDPA O2 signal and the broadband is still rubbish. Can't recommend it based on my experience, anyone else have a full signal and it works ok for them?

be looking out for one of these for a while. would this deal be any better than one from 3 which comes with 1gb of data for £20?

In my experience o2 dongle are so frustrating, they download all graphics at compressed low quality resolutions and they constantly drop out and slow down, I wouldn't have one if you gave it me for free. I've used all networks mobile broadband in numerous parts of the country and the only one that has ever worked and has been reliable is vodafone.

Can also be used as a memory card reader. I'm sure they cannot transfer HC card data though, but the latest ones might as they support up to 8GB. They are also doing buy one - get the lowest priced item for half price.

with everything as more and more people use 3G the network quality will drop off, i had a vodafone dongle and the first 6 months it was perfect, very little load delay and then the smart phones started coming out and the 3G signals weakened..

Is this the Huawei e160 or the ZTE model?

Remember folks it doesn't matter that this dongle is sold by O2 it can be unlocked (if it isn't so already) and used with a network of your choice.

Its a mixture of both. Old ones being replaced. And the unlocking is handy

Is it not the e1752 ,o2 have started doing that one now?

I have used dongles from all major providers and didn't find the O2 service up to much to be honest, it's not the dongle but the service provider. Get a Three one and you'll find speeds are much better.

too right there......absolutely useless service. I also have a 3 dongle which is waaaaay better and I get good speed out of. O2 is pants....

I had 3 dongle on a year contract..no use, obviously depends where you are using it.

I've found Three to be the best provider- never had a problem with connection or speed. Been with them for about 2 and half years and only pay £7.50p a month for 5GB of data

I want one of these so i`m off to do a test purchase now.

How much does it cost to unlock this?

They should have scanned it through, wait until their stocktake, there is no way of knowing what happened to it. The process is through the tills and it gives the option. The person who gave it to you is breaching company policy. Its a current promotion so i'm sure the sales guys are expected to promote the dongle deals. Because technology changes so fast I would not buy one to save for later as these can be out of date as soon as the next one arrives.

Not really sure about dongles ... but would this work for 'very occasional' use only on a laptop.

My daughter previously had a 3 dongle on a contract but this has now stopped. I thought I could just top up this but was told by a local store that it would be about £20 PAYG for 30 days. However, even if I only use the laptop once in the month, that would be that

I just want a cheap way to go online with the laptop, (not on a regular basis)

thanks

A 1-day topup on Three PAYG is £2, with a 500MB limit.

Thanks for that !

I phoned Three thinking this world be perfect, but was told the cheapest way would be to get a PAYG sim and top up £10. That would be valid for 30 days.

When I asked about a 1 day deal, I was told here is no such deal unfortunately.

Ah well ! £10 for a month isn't too bad really

It's called "Pay Per Day"
details on three.co.uk (if link doesn't work start at three.co.uk, click Help & Support, under "Mobile Broadband" select "Bills, payments and topping up", select "Pay As You Go top-ups" then "Pay Per Day Mobile Broadband".)

I had a contract with 3 Mobile Broadband, and my experience was hellish...utterly dire customer service, among the worst I've ever experienced, and kept disconnecting in a full-signal area. No end of problems, went on for months, never got sorted despite numerous calls. Ended up forcing them to terminate contract with a year left to go, due to their failure to provide the service. Been with Vodafone ever since, they're not perfect but at least the device works, and if there are any issues you stand a better chance of getting them sorted out. In fact, my Vodafone issues have been with phone side rather than mobile broadband.

In short, I would avoid 3 Mobile like the plague, unless you are happy to have a service which consistently fails to deliver, and incompetent callcentre staff who couldn't give a toss!

Another option, £10 O2 dongle, if you want low usage can select 1-month at a time, £5/month from dropdown box if 500MB a month is enough for you...otherwise £10 month for 1GB, etc.
