Previously posted at original price of £149.99 below where the new price drop has already been mentioned but felt to get any exposure needed a new thread as the previous deal is so cold

Now down to £99.99 but also has an "app store" imminent which has the potential to make this device more than an expensive digital photo frame

Anyone know if this is elligible for the friends and family discount?

Potentially making this device and even more viable £80.00 :-)

Nope... initial reviews are a bit poop tbh... but £50 off and the "app store" which is open to third party's make it a bit of a different prospect - has already been updated to include internet radio using pure's "world leading software"

Just hope some clever dick writes some google integration app rather than o2's crappy calendar!

Wasn't this for the original version?

App store still not released, no sign of a browser either, in current form worth only £49 as an impulse buy.

I think I'd have to go along with that after a bit more research. I thought about getting one, but just couldn't justify it at the price.

Even at £49, I'd have to think hard. ;-)

Shame really as it has the hardware to do so much more but o2 has tied it down too much. And the old price of £149 was a joke as you could get a mini laptop for around that (1.6 gig atom, 16 gig SSD, XP, 1 gig ram).

It's either going to go one of 2 ways, they will discontinue it and try and sell them off at any price, or they will release lots of updates to give you more for your money, though the lack of an app store by Christmas as promised may tell you something, I checked with an 02 shop but they know nothing.

The big problem is they are trying to sell it hard as a calendar, but its not a very good calendar and a normal paper one is £1, so they need to boost what it can do or shave the price again.

Wish list - I would have liked to have seen a larger screen maybe 9" instead of 7", better speakers, a browser, a battery option, a larger internal memory or SD card slot and a thinner unit.

....I'll keep my eyes on the unit in case something develops.
