I think this applies to all argos offers that are collected instore.

Still a damned fine phone, I have the older 6230 and will not part with it due to it being so easy to use, this phone has one of the best interfaces.

Can you unlock this and use it with a '3' sim?

The guys at the market said i couldnt :O.

Thanks Cat, this is a good price.

This is a very dated phone now and poor camera even at 1.3 mp.

Not voting it cold though cos don't want to upset anyone as my reasons may not be valid enough for mods and I treasure my voting power:roll:

It may be ok for somebody who is after an old phone at the price though if they can actually find stock:thumbsup:

I cant find any new phones to replace my 6230i. They all so bleeding MAHOOOOOSIVE nowadays. Fink i'll just stick with my 6230i for a while.

It does everything that i need a phone to do.

Good price & voted hot...

Bought one last night - good phone. Argos' website did say that there was none in stock at the store I bought it from, and in store it said 5 in stock.

Have you been introduced to the nokia 6300 yet or even the 6233? Both significant improvements on this model.

Also SE K610i SE W880i, W810i are all fairly small:)

Would agree the excellent 6300 is the natural successor to the 6230, but as much as like the straightforward style of the 6233, it was the most bug-ridden phone I've ever had.

I agree with you there mate, I used to have to have the best of the best when it comes to phones, I have lately stopped buying them as I was wasting money, but I have been through a fair few D500, (D600, W800i, K750i, D900 plus many many more), and I have always kept this phone. It is dated yes, it has a small screen yes, but gone are my days of showing off and such so out of all the phones I have ever owned this one has to be my favourite and only because it is small, comact, does all the usual stuff and is so God damned easy to use.

But for those of you that want a good multi-media phone then stay away. It does a lot but the screen is small and as stated it is getting a little old now.

Think of it as Chuck Norris, it was the best but can't go on forever.

6233? That was the upgrade from the 6230i. Still though, go for a Sony Ericsson, there the best

I've had 2 proper phones that I've stuck with, the rest have all gone through ebay:-

1) Nokia 6310i Solid as a rock fantastic battery life, proper phone. I think I saw Alan Sugar on tv using one of these on his boat.
2) Nokia 6230i Still very Nokia (easy to use) in it's functionality. Got most of the features you will use eg MP3 ring tones, Bluetooth, Calculator, diary etc. OK camera isn't a 10 mega pixel SLR but I use the phones camera for taking images not hi res snaps.

Ask yourself this 1 question: A very big % of all cradle car kits fit one of the above options. It can't be all that bad if this many people are using it.

Trust me you won't be disappointed, good little handset.

Got the £69.99 PAYG on Orange at local Argos yesterday. Very pleased. Great phone, great price.

Even came with free superman 1 and 2 dvds, cape and red pants - no jokes please!!?? Of course the cape and pants had to be tried on last night after a few drinks.....

If you can grab one before tomorrow eve, FREE £5 voucher is a bonus

This phone can be unlocked no problem. I unlocked my brothers 6230i and my Mum's 6020 using this site to generate the code;

I used this phone up until Sept 2006 when I was due an upgrade.. I got a Nokia N73 expecting a better phone than the 6230i, and was bitterly disappointed. Takes ages to access menus, ages to send text messages, runs out of memory even when no apps are running.. the 6230i was definitely the best phone I ever owned.
