Not sure if this is a 'GREAT' deal as I've never had a contract phone before due to always having used PAYG handsets.

I fancied a change tho' and personally thought this seemed a decent deal on a phone I've been wanting for a while.

Online 20 Tariff

200 Mins
400 Texts
Plus Unlimited O2 to O2 Calls
£19.58 a Month

Phone £97.86

£35.00 cashback thru Quidco, which if it tracks OK, means you get the phone for £62.86.

I phoned my current provider and they wanted around £290 for the phone on top of £15.00 a month contract. Yeah, right!

Not 100% sure, as I can't see it mentioned anywhere, but I'd guess these will be refurbished models.

Anyway, like I said up top, not sure if this is a 'Great' deal, but seems OK for someone who doesn't need 600 minutes + 1000 texts like some tariffs have.

When you click on the link, it states 'Pay Monthly - Free to £146.79'.
It's free on an expensive monthly contract, but if you select the 24 month tab and the 'Online 20' tariff, it's £97.86 (less Quidco)

If you want to pay £30ish less overall, then the 18 month 'Online 25' tarriff may be better, which is the same minutes/text, but at £24.48 per month.

Looks like I got diddled then!

Like I said, never had contract before, but searched here and found nowt!

Oh, well, you live and learn.

May well cancel this then and check out the links you mentioned.

Thanks

Generally better contracts around for what is now an 'old' phone. Heated for effort though.

think this might be a good deal for others to look at if you want this phone.

The N96 is a far better phone ( 16GB of mobile phone memory, 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss Optics, Integrated A-GPS and rich maps. Connect to the Internet in multiple ways, WLAN and HSDPA support.) and whilst it is £24.47 a month it is free so Quidco (minus admin is yours) and you are getting 400 cross-network mins + 500 texts + Unlimited Orange to Orange mins or 500 cross-network mins + 100 texts + Unlimited UK Land Line mins. If you want a Nokia but don't want to pay a lot for latest phone then this might be a better choice.

You've got me thinking about this now.

Wait until the N97 hits the streets later this year!

Storage capacity aside, the N96 is more or less the same as an N95. :-(

ive got the N96 and the only thing better is the memory and the possibility of expanding it. other than that its pretty much the same phone bar the battery being slightly worse in the N96

Agreed. The N97 (touch phone) is the one everyones waiting for ( if you want a decent nokia)
Yes, I know the Tube/5800 XpressMusic was technically the first offering but that feels like mere dabbling compared to the 'N97' - so let's cut straight to it. With its 3.5in touchscreen the N97 makes no secret of who it is going straight for and its 640 pixel wide resolution means it is already managing some impressive one-upmanship.
The positive turns don't stop there however with a whopping 32GB of native memory and a microSD/SD HC 16GB compatible expansion slot meaning a potential 48GB of total storage. Throw in WiFi, HSDPA, aGPS and a five megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and the Finns clearly mean business.

Downsides: well, this is a subjective one, but for me the decision to go with a physical Qwerty keyboard will turn away as many as it attracts and I remain a firm believer that if a manufacturer is going to go with a full touchscreen display it should have the stones to commit to a virtual keyboard and less chunk. Consequently one tellingly absent stat is just how big/heavy the N97 is - and I'd suspect you'll need big pockets.

Wow. For a 24 month contract? If you can get out of that contract then get out...lots of better deals around for that phone.

I just got the Nokia 5800 for free on an 18 month contract with 600 minutes and unlimited texts for £21.75 a month, so yeah I think you got ripped of. Love the 5800 by the way nice and easy to use.
