Been visiting for a while and not posted but came across this and thought it was perfect for people who just need a small mobile allowance for an afternoon or day.

You can top up for:-

£2 for a days access or 500MB limit
£7.50 for 7 days access or 1GB limit
£15 for a months access or 3GB limit

Then theres also the possibility of Quidco - PAYG gives £3.50 and Mobile Broadband gives £40 - so Id assume it would be the former.

Its definitely available online but may also be available in store.

Site appears to be down at the minute but it was up before I started preparing this.

Edit - News here on it from the Guardian.

Actually only £29.35 since the VAT reductions.

Watch out : that purchase price only applies to 26/12, when it then goes up to £48.92.

And the '1 day for £2' is what you want - ie 24hrs, not 'a day'.

50-day hardware moneyback guarantee too if bought by end of Jan 09

Have been contemplating this, one aspect I haven't worked out yet : you have to pay online - so if you need TO PAY to get online how is that achieved? I'm sure they've considered that, but I haven't read the how to yet.

Cold, very cold. O2 have the worst HSDPA coverage of all the networks, it's miles behind!

Take a look at the coverage map: webmap.o2.co.uk/map…asp

is the 'free' wifi only during the paid period

Dont appear to be doing much better if their maps are anything to go by.

Whilst the other providers dont appear to offer a coverage map of the UK to compare to so its a bit hard to say. But reviews I have read havent listed any coverage issues.

are this unlocked?
