Full disclosure – this plan has already been posted, but with a £45 Amazon voucher and no cashback.
hotukdeals.com/dea…453

Until midnight tonight, for the same price you can get the same offer but with cashback instead of the voucher:

– 18GB
– £47.94 Netflix credit (6 months on the standard plan)
– Total £60 cashback via Quidco
– O2's Travel bolt-on for roaming in many countries outside Europe o2.co.uk/int…one
– O2 Priority priority.o2.co.uk/

O2 bought a lot of 4G spectrum in the recent auction. Reports seem to be suggesting data speeds have improved a lot in some cities.

Cashback:

1. Opt in to Quidco's BIG SUMMER SWITCH promo and you get a bonus £20 cashback from many utility providers (incl O2) if you sign up by 11.59pm tonight (Tues 31 July).
quidco.com/cam…5a3

2. Current cashback for this plan via Quidco is £40, so you'd get £60 altogether.
quidco.com/o2-…es/

That's equivalent to £15/month. If you factor in the Netflix credit it would be £11.

I know cashback is sometimes a bit hit and miss, but O2 have good reviews on Quidco and TCB (unlike EE...)

Thanks, it's a great deal, I'm about to pull the trigger. Hot!
Great deal for people like me who who an average of 13-15gb a month.... Makes me laugh when people are out and about trying to hook upto to the local free WiFi then start moaning how rubbish it is while I'm using my fast 4g data. For the sake of maybe £2 a week more you can have more data than you need people. Stop being tight and only spending £10pm and maybe getting 5-6gb a month get a deal like this
Super hot deal. Have been using this plan (but with 20GB, a promotion in Dec 2016) and paying £20pm which is already a deal in my opinion. With the cashback and Netflix credit, this is a great deal. Haven't had any problems with O2 data speeds either where I'm often.

Does anyone know if an existing customer will get cashback and Netflix credit?

When you click the Quidco link to go through to o2 they state 'Cashback will not be paid for contract renewals, extensions or handset upgrades'
I guess if it's not a renewal and you are basically taking out a new contract it will be fine?

Generally speaking if it's a new contract then it should all go through as a new line. However you will have problems porting your number as this can't be done within networks (you might have to do a 'triangular port' – out to another network and back in).

Having said that, I can't guarantee of course – maybe chat with O2 and ask?

Also if you're still in your contract you'd pay to leave it early.

Hey there,

I can see that O2 Mobiles only offer cashback for new customers, so unfortunately if you've been with O2 before then you wouldn't be eligible for the cashback or bonus, as the bonus is only paid on a cashback-eligible purchase.

Sorry for any disappointment.

Best wishes,
Lauren

While I would agree that the public wifi hotspots are cack, and really only a means to harvest peoples email addresses, why would anyone 'stop being tight' and pay for data that they don't need and won't use?
It states on quidco the cash back for this offer is £40 not £50 still a good offer.

Yeah, seen that. I'm out of contract on SIMO. But still treated as an upgrade. Either way I won't be getting any cashback

Just went for this, heat, £50 tracked already!

At the top of the page it states the specific plan gets only £40 cashback.
Not sure why this deal isn't getting much heat, the other one was over 500. Here you're getting cashback rather than a voucher, and £15 more.
The £50 cashback is for a £20 and over SIMO contract so why can't you use that?
Mine tracked at 50, and shud get £20 bonus

Hi,

For the purposes of the cashback, what constitutes a new customer exactly?

I'm not currently with O2 but was about 7 years ago. I would assume that still makes me a new customer. However on the phone to O2 customer services today they referred to me as a previous customer.

I signed up to this offer last night via Quidco. Can you confirm whether I will get my cashback? May have to cancel otherwise.

Thanks

Hello,

I would advise canceling the order as you will be treated as an existing member as a result of your past account with O2.

That'll explain being referred to as a previous customer on your call to O2 customer services.

To be viewed as a new customer, you would need to be making a purchase with O2 for the first time 'ever'.

I hope that helps

Thanks,

Joseph
