Would be perfect if it was a 1 month rolling contact (not fussed that there'd be no cashback) I notice o2 don't seem to do high data on 30 day contracts

yep agree, o2 is the best in our area but their prices are ridiculous, try Tesco Mobile part owned by o2 and much much cheaper.

That's true... unfortunately.
I gave a quick check around and simo on 30 days contract you have:

Vodafone: £25 for 10Gb + 500 minutes
Three: £22 for 12Gb + 200 minutes or £25 for 12Gb + 200 minutes
Virgin: £25 for 20Gb + 5000 minutes

But yeah... none as good as the 12Months one.

I'm with 3 at the minute (fancy trying o2 when my contracts up in a few months) but nowhere seems to offer the amount of data that three do for a reasonable price (I use about 15-25gb a month with being out and about a lot) and so far the only ones with decent offerings that I would consider is three,Voda and o2

As my comment above says, I'm with three at the moment and I need a lot of data so three seems the best option (my contract ends a few months before the new iPhone and I don't wanna get into a 12 month contract, I want a monthly one so I can see what the iPhones like and if it I can make it into a 12 months contract and a save a few quid a month)

Unfortunately the Tesco Mobile deals for the 1 month contracts... are quite meh...

I guess that the 30 days contracts are a bit "ugly ducklings" for the mobile companies... which is a shame because it could be an opportunity to get new customers from the PAYG, for instance.

As far as I can see regarding three, they seem to knock about £2 a month off if you commit to 12

Lots of competition at the moment on the 30 day sims, if you have good signal plus net have some very good 2 and 4 GB deals obvious not as good as the high data 12 month sims

My work is with o2 and can get o2 open.
But I cannot got the code to give me 30% off☹️

Still prefer EE for true WIFI calling.

Is o2 open available for sim only contracts?!

No I went in store and it's only for refresh contracts.
Yes sign up for a 24 month contract, create a account, then there is a o2 open tab.

Send a payslip or works Id, then 25% will be deducted from the airtime balance after one months bill.

not bad of a deals

Picked this up last month, great deal for those who are happy with their current handset.

This one is cheaper if you are well organised person about your financial affairs.

HELP has anyone seen a good o2 data only - I have a o2 mifi and I am paying £12(3Gb) - I've googled and still not come up with anything really good or is it worth unlocking the midi unit and going for 3 data only so I can use abroad
please help as I'm banging my head against a brick wall
Also heat for the OP

I got this on renewal my £20 P/m (same offering as this) was coming to an end in June but they let me take this out. so another 12 months from now

is tehering allowed?

I took on this offer last week - having been on an 'unlimited data' 3G SIM-only for past 6 years (but O2 had recently changed the definition of 'unlimited' to 10 GB a month by the look of it!)
Was paying about £17 a month for that (crept up a bit every year from start price of £15 a month)
I can confirm that I am able to use Tethering! (I was worried I would lose that).
At weekend was in an Oxford Travelodge - checked speed of SIM - 89mb sec!!!!! I get less than 1mb at home on landline Broadband! So pair of us had our iPads tethered to phone sat on windowsill. Very happy with 4G and package (we'll see if Quidco ever pays out on it!!!)
Thanks to OP.

Still prefer EE for true WIFI calling.

O2 have "Tu Go", basically a VOIP app which uses your minutes and texts over wifi, it's great if you go abroad a lot, I prefer this to wifi calling.

The difference is that if you do it via mobiles.co.uk you will not be able to use any discount you may have from Friends and Family (if you have any friend working for O2), as those are only for ppl who do their contracts either on the O2 webpage or on O2 official/franchise stores.

If you get this deal from Carphone warehouse in a Currys store you get a £50 Currys gift card

Its not as bad since apple introduced call kit and these voip apps maintain the iphone dialer look and feel.
true wifi calling is great on the tube. never miss a call.

Got 15 days left on my other sim, and this one works out cheaper for more!

Any one know when you get the first bill taken from o2? Right away?

It takes days for the sim to come in the post? So does that use up a few days on your first month?

It is a shame you can not order this and you get 30 days to activate it with a code and the bill starts from the day you use the activate code, so days are not wasted with the post and on other sims.

O2 have now enabled wifi calling.:D
on IOS devices with 10.3
