This offer was £5.49 per month - now reduced to just £3.99 per month !!

same rules/restrictions etc etc.

This p.m rate is based on £16 per month with redemption - bringing it down to just £3.99 per month.
Quidco offer £5 cash back
topcashback offer £21.00 cash back (tho this cashback expires 22/3/15)

i have used mobiles.co.uk a while back now - and had no problems with them on a redemption deal. all went tickety boo!
watch out for the redemption amount being incorrect when you first access site - it will update.
note that mobiles.co.uk are a subsidiary of carphonewarehouse.

just for interest - i was stopped inside Currys/pcworld in Poole during the week - a CPW salesman said they could beat any offer! when i pointed out the original offer 'orgfilao' put on this site - the salesman backed down and said they could not even match this offer - despite it being subsidiary!

This will save you £-47.90 over the 12 month duration of the contract. In effect this means that your average line rental per month over the contract period is £3.99 per month.

Please note: the above calculations are based on the basic line rental of the tariff and do not include itemised billing

Cashback Claim Process:

Claiming your cashback couldn't be simpler. You will need to send in your mobile phone bill at months 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12

It's so simple to work out when you need to claim your cashback, please see the below table on when you should send your bills to us

Bill Claim Amount
Bill Dated June 2015 £-9.58
Bill Dated August 2015 £-9.58
Bill Dated October 2015 £-9.58
Bill Dated December 2015 £-9.58
Bill Dated February 2016 £-9.58

so cash back is £47.90 not £144 .... or have I missed something?

EliTom

Better to order from e2save as the quidco is £7.50 rather than £5....I know I have

as mentioned in body of text...

I think the moral with any mobile phone contract commitment that's HUKD value when you get redemption cashback, is that the contract needs to be good value even if the redemption cashback weren't to be paid to you for any reason.

PS:
That way you'd always be content with the legal contractual commitment you've made, and if other parties do live up to their promises, you'd be even happier.

my topcashback has registered as an 02 contract at £10.50 rather than a sim only deal at £21.00 - so watch out for this please!

SuperEd

Added full contract price to OP before any cashback / redemption. Thanks.

They have a £3.99 Vodafone SIM only as well (unlim mins/texts 1GB 4G data)
Or £6.99 with 3GB 4G data
Or £8.99 with 6GB 4G data + 12 months spotify

Be aware not 4g!!!

Be aware not 4g!!!

Just had a look at the desktop version of the site and there is a 4g version

O2 4G Smartphone Sim Only £16 1GB 12m
12 Months

There is also a 3G version which this may be linking through to:

FREE Sim
1000 mins
1GB data
Unlimited texts

Both are available for £3.99 after Cashback but one isn't explicit about being 4g, so make sure you choose the right one.

If you need 2gb data that is available for £7.49 after Cashback (plus TCB).

Is there any difference between the £3.99 vodafone & the £7.00 iPhone one other than the sim size? Presumably the £3.99 could be cut to Nano sim size & used in an iPhone?

http://www.mobiles.co.uk/vodafone-vodafone-micro-sim.html?tid=MAOTMFEB15

or am I missing somethig?

Yeah the only difference is the size of the SIM. Voda will swap it for a nano-SIM free in store if needed, so might as well order the micro.

Message them this early morning about change my tarrif to this £3.99 cuz its only 2 weeks might change i don't know, waiting for reply now.

I went for the £5.49 deal and should have waited as it's now £3.99 but there's always a better deal on the horizon!
Only thing that I'm faffed about is that I wanted a nano sim and was told by a chap at Mobiles that you get the choice in the ordering process. I certainly don't remember seeing it but a very friendly chap at local O2 explained the process to me and it's fairly painless but involves a lot of faffing around. Glad that I kept my old phone as I needed that to send a text to O2 to validate the nano sim that I received free from the O2 shop.
Hopefully it'll soon be validated but they warn that it can take up to 24 hours.

Next stage is getting my old number ported.

Is this all worth it I'm starting to think.

Hopefully there will be another deal in 12 months time.

I wonder if getting a replacement Nano sim would affect the Cashback? They do offer Nano sims but they are not included in the offer which suggests the contract may be slightly different? Excellent if you can just get the sim replaced (rather than using my sim cutter) - has anyone any experience of replacing the sim in Cashback deals? Many thanks

Will have no effect.

Invoice from o2 us as pdf to download or is posted and paid?

I am on the £5.49 deal. Doh! Should have waited. O2 sent me a nano SIM. I didn't get any cashback from Quidco but YMMV.

My first O2 Bill is £16.58? not £16, that 58p is very important to me LOL

I got the other deal about 2 weeks ago, I did not get any information about how to claim the cashback, I understand feom Hukd that you have to send the bill via email or post every 2 months, but does anyone know what email address or where to post it.

Replace the SIM or uses a SIM Cutter, either way they can tell what model of phone you have and can limit it or cancel it if they so choose. Although that would be going a bit far even for them.

How it works out

16 * 12 = 190 to pay in 12 months
47.90 cashback in 12 months

192 - 47.60 = 144.40 (have to pay for 12 months) = 12.03/month have to pay.

where is 3.99, is this another cheat?

redemption = ****!

I hate the idea of redemption!

Sorry, my point wasn't whether they can tell which phone you are using it in more whether getting a replacement sim would give them reason not to pay out the Cashback (would the network tell them and refuse them their commission which would affect them paying out).

You purchase and pay £16 a month, then in the months they require, you send in your bill (via online upload or post) and they send you a cheque. The cheques total value will be £144, whereas the contract value is £192, so effectively works out £3.99 a month.

Negative is, if you forget you forfeit the remaining cashback (which is often why people don't like these deals).

If you remember to send in the bills, this can work out very cheap deals. Mobiles.co.uk is also owned by Carphone Warehouse.

The months you need to claim, and the amount they will give you back from each claim is in the table below:-

4 £ 29.00 June 2015 Not due yet
6 £ 29.00 August 2015 Not due yet
8 £ 29.00 October 2015 Not due yet
10 £ 29.00 December 2015 Not due yet
12 £ 29.00 February 2016 Not due yet

This isn't for everyone, but you can get cheap phone deals as a result.

Yes just download the PDF copy of your bill from O2, then upload to mobiles website. Takes a couple of minutes.

Maybe caused by the billing period. If your contract started 1 day before the end of the networks billing cycle they may have just added that extra day on to the following month.

Got mine delivered today, you can't go wrong with this deal surely!

I bought the £5.49 deal as well a fortnight ago. I have messaged mobiles.co.uk and hopefully they change me to the £3.99 deal, I will keep you guys updated

Unfortunately I would think it is highly unlikely thry will change it as your contract with them included £X Cashback and this is a different offer.

Does this just revert to full price after 12 months with no discount?
