The Sony Ericsson S500i slider phone is available from phones4U for £1.99 per month for 12 months on a 12 month contract.

That works out £23.88 for the full term. Plus if you go through Quidco you could get £50 cashback giving you a profit of £26.12. You also get 3 months free insurance (£5,99 a month after the first 3 months but you can cancel anytime) . You can also select free itemised billing during the order process.

This is a cashback offer so not for those of you that are not organised or worried about cashback compliance. I did read the smallprint and phones4u allow 60days from the bill date to claim which is twice as much as any previous cashback I have taken out.

They state that they will give back 25% of the charges - this is only £10 of a £40 line rental.

Be careful!

Looks Good.

Their figures add up but as you say those figures don't match what is said when you click the cashback amount. If people go for it I would take as many screen shots as possible!!

**WARNING**

I was looking at this phone a few weeks ago, looks great, but the reviews are dire!

In 90% of reviews from customers, the buttons have cracked rendering them useless.
This is a pretty serious design fault, and it hasn't been fixed by SE yet.

Save yourself some grief and find a different phone!

The button problem is a nightmare, Sony fix it but my daughter has not been able to use her phone for the majority of her contract, and has had to buy a cheap PAYG, because Phones 4 U don't want to know

Well the cashback is £456.12 and is paid 25% at a time in month 6,8,10 and 12. The combined total of all four cheques will equal £456.12, therefore four payments of £114.03

Well done  someone who actually understands how cashback works. I have done these before and by 25% they mean 25% of the total cashback at each redemption point not 25% of your line rental. As I put in the description not for those who are not organised!!

Take a look at the link in my signature below this post for useful guides (how to succeed with mobile phone contracts, feedback for Phones4U, etc).

 Received the phone today as promised. It looks lovely just have to hope the keys don't crack. I am only a light user so hopefully it will be OK. Quidco £50 tracked also.
