Wood is so much kinder to sit down on than plastic in a cold room.

Thanks OP. Good price, but since when has
"made from 100% MDF " become selling point?

This looks like the same one I got from Homebase for £20 18 months ago. Had two replacement sets of hinges before I binned it. There is nowhere near enough bite on the underside of the hinge (Where it meets the bolt that goes through the porcelain), and they're NOT rustproof. They sheared after about 8 weeks. The replacement hinges I got from Wilko were slightly better in that they didn't rust; but they were the same poor design and left the seat slipping.

an absorbent medium density fibre material and urine and bleach, probably not a reliable long term solution. I'd personally avoid mdf for a toilet seat.

Probably the worst material possible for a toilet set.

Cheap loo seats are sadly false economy.

Heavy weight of 3kg, that's always a pleasure when the upstairs neighbour drops the lid shut and rattles the flat.

If you have kids, bear in mind heavy and mdf with no soft close means this will break in 5 minutes. In a rarely used non bathroom toilet where the veneer won't peel quickly this might be ok.

Seems like you could do some good slogans with products like these.

To make you feel better had 2 replacements of a Heritage seat, RRP £100, hinge pulled out the seat, hinge snapped, seat split by the hinge, hinges corroded, they then said they wouldn't provide any more replacements!!! Not recommended!!
Bad design as there are only 2 supports under the front of the seat not the usual 4.. clearly a bad design but they won't admit...
